The Travel Thread
I love travel! Since I've been taking summer school classes like a fiend, I don't have much time off before the fall semester starts. Classes end the seventh of August and resume the twenty-fifth so I have two weeks to enjoy myself. I'm planning on flying to New York and staying there for a few days to visit a friend of mine. After that, I'm going to go visit my brother who is going to school in Spain! I've been to Spain before but both times had been with groups and now I'm just going by myself! Yayyy!

What do you do when you're angry?
I'm soooooooo lame. I just fall asleep when I'm angry because I really don't want to be thinking about whatever upset me.

What Time Is it and what are you doing ??
It's almost midnight and I'm trying to find a perfect way to word my thesis statement for my critical analysis on Kate Chopin's The Awakening. My paper isn't due until midnight on Sunday, though!

Concert Merchandise
Aside from the general awesomeness that is watching Coldplay up on stage playing your favorite songs, another thing that I always look forward to is buying most of the stuff they're selling me! I make a point to buy shirts, etc. before the show to make sure I don't have to deal with anything selling out. I have high hopes for this tour's merchandise. I'm sure everything will look amazing! Any thoughts????
- HI THERE!!! I'M FAN TOO!

Hot Fuzz
Oh, man! I won't even call myself a real Simon Pegg as I haven't see Run, Fat Boy Run! I've been dying to, though. Does that count??

I want to make friends!!!
Awww such a warm welcome from you guys! I'm definitely glad to be here and, yeah, I wouldn't be here if I didn't love music. Oh my gosh! I totally didn't mention that I'm a huge Radiohead fan. It's one of those things you just kind of blank out on when they're really obvious. I saw them both times when they were here in Texas back in May and I'm planning on going to a festival in San Francisco next month to see them again! Live music is a great experience. =D

Ever been to Coldplay concert solo?
When I saw Coldplay in Dallas back in 2005, I got split up from the two friends I was with so I kinda felt like I was alone?? It was still freaking awesome! =D

Yes - a sleeper hit?
This is definitely my favorite track on the new album so far. I think it's just so completely different than anything the band has ever done and the fact that Chris Martin is singing in such a low octave makes it that much greater.

Help Oxfam America & See Coldplay! (Volunteer Discussion Thread)
I would definitely love to help out again! I volunteered when they were in Dallas back in 'o5 and I had a great time. I'd definitely do it again. I've filled out the application and I hope I hear from you guys soon.

I don't want to hear Fix You, Yellow, Trouble in concert anymore
I've seen the band a couple of times and I don't think I could ever get sick of "Yellow" or "Clocks." I could definitely do without anything from X&Y and there never is enough of their old old old stuff. I'd like to hear Shiver!

18-Nov-08: Houston - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Hey guys! I'm totally stoked to see all these people getting hyped up for this show! I'll be there with my little brother. It will be his first Coldplay show so I'm really excited for him to see what I go crazy about. I've seen the guys several times but the experience gets better and better every single time. So is anyone sitting in sections A-F? We should hang before the show!!

I want to make friends!!!
Well, I've been aware of this site for years and years but I'm only now just signing up. I've been a fan of the band for ages and I've seen them live several times. I don't have any friends that are as devoted as I am to the boys so I never have anyone to gush to when something Coldplay-related happens. My favorite songs are probably Shiver, Sparks, Parachutes, The Scientist, Politik, A Message, and from the new album, I really like Yes! Other favorite artists include: Damien Rice, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Kills, Ely Guerra, Martha Wainwright, Rufus Wainwright, the Shins, Vampire Weekend, and the Yeay Yeah Yeahs. I live in Texas where I'm currently going to uni and studying as an English major. I have a dog named Archie and a cat named Caesar both of whom I love to death. I have a vintage Jaguar Schwinn cruiser that I ride everywhere. I don't know what else to say except... HELLO!!!
