YAY!!! Ok.. Some good songs to look out for.. "I'm yours" of course... but that probably won't happen until later on in the show. I just saw him recently in Cabazon and he started off w/ the song that made him popular, "The Remedy"..... I'm pretty sure you'll get hooked in pretty quick. Besides being really cute :) He's got some awesome horns playing and some gospel singers! Dynamo of Volition is a good one. It's where he's rapping in the beginning. :) Please let us know what you think. Here's a pic of Jason w the gospel singers.

yup, here it is! I had to go to 4 different GAP stores to get the promo CD (plus spend $50 on a jacket that I don't even use :embarassed:) Here's the youtube vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPh-HQfcC74

Except for the occasional crazy fan girlie out there, my experience of seeing over 10 shows has been pretty good. There is a huge mix of people there ranging from about 15-60ish years old. haha. so, I can't say there's really one type of crowd....oh yeah.. but there are mostly girls.. :laugh3: My last concert did sorta feature stuff off his new album, and I did notice a different crowd emerging. And it did get kind of annoying. But, Mr. Mraz always seems to keep people interested and in general people are pretty respectful. If you ever do get to go, please report back here and tell me what you think! Good luck!

I HIGHLY recommend you see him as soon as he's in your area. I can guarantee that any price, really, is worth seeing this guy live. I once put my $35 tickets for his show in Solana Beach, CA on Ebay, and it sold for over $350 (for 2 tix). Though any price is really worth it, do check Craigslist, first, and check back a couple times on ticketmaster. Sometimes people's credit cards get denied and they re-list the ticket. Please, go see this guy. You won't regret it! :smug:

The "My Brother or Sister just left for College/Uni" Thread
I have 3 siblings. I've recently moved back home after 2 years. It's actually kinda depressing. My little brother was on break from going to school up north in San Francisco. While he was here, it was cool. But, when he had to leave, you have no idea how sad I was :( Then on monday, my other brother is leaving w/ the army for Iraq :dozey:... So, yeah, feeling a little abandoned. So, it's just me w/ my parents. And, by the way, my other brother lives w/ his girlfriend. So, I'm totally missing my brothers right now. :(

Aww. What festival was that? Yeah, he's a very nice guy. I have a picture of him as he was leaving The Roxy in Los Angeles. Also, recently at a gig in LA, there was a line waiting to get in about 12 hours before the gig. So in the afternoon before the concert, he actually sat outside w/ the people in line and played a few songs as well as well as flowed w/ a couple of lucky fans. :shocked2: they were SO excited! here are a few pics of him entertaining the small crowd. :D

i want a lover i don't have to love.
Just recently broke up w/ my boyfriend of over 5 years. I'm currently in the "limbo" stage. :laugh3: for those of you who have been in a relationship, know it as the stage where you've just broken up, but at least one person wants to work it out, but the other doesn't, therefore the status of the relationship isn't very clear and congruent. Anywhoo. I broke up w/ the guy since there was no potential there.... Recently I went out w/ a coworker and was feeling kinda low on myself. We ended up making out. I can't help but feel pretty guilty about it. I KNOW I shouldn't, but the ex is still calling, and I can't help but feel as if there would be a possibility in the future and can't quite seem to let him go. I definitely DON'T wanna be in a relationship w/ the new guy whom I made out w/ , but do enjoy the attention/company. In addition, there were also other guys who displayed interest and once I shot them down and they stopped talking to me, I was wondering why I wasn't getting the attention anymore. I know. I'm weird. But I'm sure there are a few girls out there that know what I'm talking about. Oh, and in regards to the "Bright eyes" song....(I think I may've read it wrong), but reminded me of my brother telling me that my situation reminded him of the "Mr. Brightside" lyrics by The Killers :laugh3:

OMG, YES!!! Please stick around, and I'm sure you'll have your mind blown!! He's a very personable guy. He does a lot of banter w/ the audience in addition to his songs and it really feels like he belongs on that stage. If you don't stick around for all of the concert, just please do yourself a favor and stick around for at least one song. I'm sure you won't be disappointed! In the meantime, visit the beginning of this thread as I've posted some of his videos. They're awesome. And this man can REALLY put on a live show. I think I may see a show coming up that has Lisa Hannigan as an opener. I've heard good things about her! I can't wait till the concert!

Oooo... Matty is getting fatty!! :wink3: hehe. I can sorta see it in his face...compared to the BHAR tour and esp. compared to his showbiz days..It's about time. That boy needed some meat on those bones!! Must be his nice break and some of that pasta that he loves :laugh3: Aww. What a great picture of him! I miss them!! :bigcry:

Aww, that's too bad about those tickets selling out. Once I find out he's within 100 mile vicinity, I immediately buy those tickets. He's THAT GOOD. I'm sure he won't disappoint in September. I'm sure you'll LOVE him. :smug: Lucky you that you have 2 concerts w/in a week!! 2 great bands! Not too sure about the Lisa Hannigan thing.. I'm not even sure I know who she is :embarassed: JM certainly does deserve more attention. He has this talent that only smart people can see.. haha. :wink3: I definitely know he's much bigger everywhere else besides the U.S.A.. :laugh3: He does have a pretty devoted following, though. Many times I've been to a concert of his that sells out very quickly but no one knows who he is. There's a reason his fan following is so devoted.... if you've been to a live performance, you'll know!! YAY!!!! MORE FANS!!! :P

Ok, maybe I should've done this before I started posting :) Ok, so formally... I'm from SoCal.... Los Angeles to be almost exact. I've been a Coldplay fan since Parachutes, but not a crazy fan-girl until now.. hehe. Ok, not that crazy. ;) I've seen them live 5 times.... but the best IMO was this past July 15th at the forum.. AMAZING:o My top 3 bands/singers: #1: Muse #2: Jason Mraz #3: Coldplay I've been on this site for almost 2 weeks straight..and i must admit that it's a lot friendlier than most. :D

How is your summer? =D
what summer? :embarassed: I'm a 9-5er.. :( Enjoy your summer vacations, b/c when you're out working in the "real world", there's no such thing as a summer break. Plus I start my master's program in September, so the only break I'll have is during January.... Oh well... I do miss the 2 month vacations.......

No other Coldplay song tops POLITIK
WAHOOO!!! Got Politik @ MGM Grand In Vegas. It was amazing w/ the lights and stuff. I'm in love w/ the song.....but "In My Place" has to top it in a Live concert. :smug:

He's pretty private about his relationships.... so as far as the details w/ him and Tristan, I'm not certain. But, I know for sure that it was over a long time ago. It's probably been over a year. When they were together, though I remember being at the Wiltern in 2006 in LA and seeing her drop him off at the venue. I also saw them together at the Home Depot center in Carson when he was opening for DMB. They were such a cute couple. Do you remember the I love TP shirt?? .. or the various acronym shirts he wore during live TV performances?? haha. . I think she was even the one that got him into surfing. As far as his new woman... I have no idea who it is.. Yeah, I had his WSWDWST CD on my CD player for a while. "Details in the Fabric" helped me get thru a hard time, too. His words really speak to the listener and you can tell he puts a lot of his heart and soul into his songs. If you haven't heard it, listen to the 10,000 Motherfuckers @ Java Joes... Youtube it. It's crazy emotional... Yup, I'm glad I'm in SoCal. We get a lot of Jason down here. Hope he goes by your neck of the woods, soon. He'll be in Boston, Philadelphia and Wash. DC mid Oct. if you're willing to road trip.. :smug: "Please Don't Tell Her"........."F*** You!!!" Part.... haha.. classic. :) Sorry for my rambing. Glad to have found another fan

Chris Martin Falls On Stage...LOL
hardy har.. He's bound to fall one of these days from his crazy onstage antics :laugh3: He did that same move right before he falls at the LA concert and Vegas concert.. I think he just probably lost his balance and really fell. Poor guy. Hope he's ok.. :\

awww. He does.... Supposedly there is some sorta feud btw Jack fans and Jason fans.. ??? I don't really understand it. It kinda started w/ the whole "im yours" vid in Hawaii.. and how Jack is a surfer living in Hawaii or something or other. haha. Weird. Not much of a Jack fan, but his music is ok. Check out this hottt shirtless vid. w/ Jason ... he kinda mentions Jack Johnson, too :) Jason talks to Perez Hilton http://youtube.com/watch?v=YywsVSu7WMg I know, Too many vids, so little time ;)

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Yes.. and I believe the next quote explains it...:D don't worry, I totally know how you feel. That's how I feel after every dang Muse concert I go to. I just drown myself in their music and I feel better a week or so after. I especially love Eternally Missed and Easily. For some reasons those songs work pretty well w/ my depression. haha. Recently after the Coldplay concert in LA I took the day off afterwards and was on the computer all day.. I went crazy and bought a $130 ticket to the gig in vegas. That really helped my post concert depression, quick... NOw all you have to do is buy a ticket to Muse's gig in Ireland :laugh3:

"Life is Wonderful" http://youtube.com/watch?v=R08q2wzGpzk And another sample of his beautiful voice.. "Lucky" feat. Colbie Calliat http://youtube.com/watch?v=vc_RIRCAF_w

FINALLY!!! Another JM fan!!:D I know what you mean about the live performances. Those are what sold me. His music is pretty "pop-ey" to begin w/ which wasn't really my style.. but when I saw him live, I was AMAZED. He's coming to LA again, which I'm really excited about. I've seen him close to 20x live!! woohoo!! hehe. I'm tempted to buy tickets for pechanga, as well :smug:

haha. I know what you mean... Well, time for bed. It's 11:24pm here.. Enjoy your high. I've yet to meet them, but I'm sure you're high is comparable to a high that any drug can give you....and much healthier, too.. They are an AMAZING band... can't wait till they make their way to California, again!

No, no.. don't apologize for your accent.. like i said, It was cute ;) I was waiting for the "OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG" after you left the table. That's what I would've done! haha. I think my heart would've stopped beating when I saw them and would've probably turned into one of those crazy fan-girls I always roll my eyes at.. hehe.
