  1. WELLLCOMMME!! My brother lives in SF :) I'm from down here in SoCal. I hear you guys don't like us very much :embarassed:
  2. MAAAAAJORRR BUUUUUMP!!! Since 2004 this guy has really gotten really big......Just a few new and old vids I'd like to share. If you haven't heard of him.. Just give it a little listen :) It doesn't hurt that he's pretty hot, too :wink3: His most recent hit, "I'm yours" http://youtube.com/watch?v=EkHTsc9PU2A In Paris, singing w/ a busker, "It's a Lovely Day" http://youtube.com/watch?v=HWszEcjFSqo and one of my older favs: "Halfway Home" http://youtube.com/watch?v=lAB5LkQyZJk
  3. Actually I heard somewhere that Gaia styled his hair before a couple gigs.. So, I'm assuming... she did this one. Looks like a style a girl would do! :P AWWWW LUCKY!!! "Sank you so much!!!" hehe. How cute! You're so incredibly lucky. I didn't start to get into Muse until after BHAR came out..then I find out they did a signing @ virgin megastore in LA :veryangry: I was so sad.. I'd be just like you though...like you were in the vid. Stunned..hehe. The smile on my face would be way too huge to even be able to get any words out......
  4. Looks like Gaia, his hair stylist got her hands on his hair again..:nice: Looks whispy and sorta curly.... haha. I think @ Almost Acoustic Christmas last year, Dom said, "See you next year".... So, I'm crossing my fingers. I'm seriously thinking of hopping on a plane to go see them perform soon.. but of course I would need money to do that...and unfortunately, I'm lacking :laugh3: I wish SoCal crowds would liven up when they're here performing.... I think the band would go mental if they saw us rocking out....hehe.
  5. :stunned: Matt's hair is getting SO LONG!!! He still looks hot, but I really really hope he doesn't do the Dom "do".... Though I do love Dom as well, his hair only looks good on him.:smug: THEY NEED TO COME BACK TO CALIFORNIA!!!!! I miss them
  6. I love all their albums, but specifically AROBTTH and VLV. I've been a part of a few messageboards, and there are always people who say that the band USED to be good and they're sell outs, criticizing them for their latest album,etc.... They're entitled to their opinion...and I'm sure NO ONE will be swayed by her stance on not actually buying the CD. There's actually no valid reasoning in her statement in reference to any of the music on VLV. All I can remember in her statement are attacks on Chris' wife, his children's names, and her own personal step by step account on when she bought AROBTTH. I've been a fan since I heard "Yellow" playing on sattelite radio around 2001ish and I think VLV is a step up from their previous albums. I particularly love where their headed in their music. Oh and I LOVE MUSE!! My FAVORITE BAND!! but, a lot of people think Black Holes and Revelations was crap......so.........yeah. Everyone has their own opinion.
  7. OMG, when I went on vacation to Australia this past May I had those for the 1st time. They're freaking addicting!!! I esp. love the milk chocolate ones. Not too much of a fan of the dark chocolate. On my last night there I discovered the other flavors, but we didn't have anymore space in our luggages to take them home :embarassed:
  8. yay_me replied to alyssa's topic in Coldplay
    I see Matteh!! :wink3:
  9. Hahaha.. I LOL'ed when I read this!.. I'm kinda curious myself... but I'm thinking it's nothing big... Maybe he did have to take a bathroom break?? I don't know, but I'd like to find out soon!
  10. I was torn between taking out my camera when I saw chris' moves and actually watching it w/ my own eyes. Needless to say, I opted to see it in real life..hehe. So I'm glad whoever took this vid. posted it... I hope someone posts a YT vid. of the whole thing. I know what you're talking about when he slides down head first! haha. Awesome..
  11. HI!! :) :) Thanks both of you for the help. I found this YT video. It's not mine, so I hope the person who posted it doesn't mind :shifty: http://youtube.com/watch?v=MRRSg_NcWWA
  12. Which song was it that Chris was rolling and tumbling around down the "cat walk?"
  13. Hrm.. didn't know that about Chris. Then maybeee...it was drugs..:o haha. Just kidding. Yeah, someone is bound to say something to him if they really care about his health and not about all the money they're raking in. Hope all goes well.
  14. In order to qualify to win the grand prize"Coldplay gig at your house" that Jessica won, we had to win tickets, then they choose out of those winners who gets the grand prize. I was one of the ticket winners. It did cross my mind a couple times what I would have to do if I actually won. Trust me, it's a lot of stress :laugh3: I would have to clean up my house/backyard, warn the neighbors, stress about who I'd invite, beautify myself :wink3:,etc...... needless to say, I was ok w/ it when I wasn't the grand prize winner :laugh3: For those who are jealous.. you should really think about it.. Would you be able to handle Coldplay at your house?? haha.. or would you be a bumbling idiot like I probably would've been If I won??
  15. Hello, and Thank You :) I actually felt a little bad for them.. I know Chris sweats a lot, but he was sweating pretty badly early on. Which is why my conclusion would be that he was drunk and now that I think of it, possibly sick. Maybe the 3 years they took off was a bit too much of a good thing in terms of having to resume the rigorous life of touring:) I'm sure it'll only be matter of a few weeks till they're back in the swing of things and will resume playing mindblowing gigs :) Oh yes in regards to our fender bender.., Actually it was my brother driving his girlfriend's car. Some idiot cut off the guy in front of us, who slammed on his breaks @ a red light and we couldn't react in time and hit the guy in front of us. Of course the idiot that cut us off was fine and sped off when the light turned green, but there we were, left in the sun. My poor brother has to pay for the guys damages, his girlfriend's deductible and to add insult to injury, the cop fined my brother for being too close to the guy in front of him (???) Oh well, sh** happens.
  16. I'm glad you noticed.... I remember hearing people in the audience at the end saying, "OMG, it was SO incredible/awesome/great, etc....And i was like  I went to their 2nd show at the Forum in LA and it was really really good... which is why I shelled out over $120 for a pretty good lower seat and drove all the way to Vegas. (and got into a little fender bender on the way and had to sit in the hot sun for over an hour waiting for the hwy patrol..:(.... but I digress..) All I could remember thinking throughout more than 1/2 of the concert was "Chris Martin is gonna pass out on stage out of either exhaustion or drunkedness" I wasn't sure... and it also looked as if he was losing his voice (but now I understand it might've been an audio problem). I know that there were more than 3 songs that Chris messed up the lyrics (Strawberry Swing, Speed of Sound...etc.. :( ) I was actually nervous that they would actually cancel the concert. I can't remember the song, but it was the one right before "The Scientist" where it looked like Chris didn't wanna sing the last part b/c he was SO exhausted and ran over to the piano while struggling to take off his jacket and slowed it down a bit.... it was kinda....awkward?.. This show was definitely not representative of their 2nd show in LA at least, b/c that was an outstanding performance. In the LA show, Chris was full of energy, was animated, his singing was top notch-he literally did not skip a beat...and the list goes on. But again, my only real conclusion was that the boys were in vegas and they got a little tipsy gambling. (hopefully...) Otherwise, if they're burnt out this early, it's not a good sign for the upcoming concerts. My other rant was about the majority of the audience. Though there were some good points to the audience (VLV-Ooooh-ing), but overall, the audience sucked. I'm sorry to say, but most were just standing there. Two guys left before the encore and the girl behind me was drunk and annoying. Plus the people up in the very front were disappointing as well....I didn't see much craziness going on up there. It looked as if they were more excited to actually make it up there then they appeared during the concert! I really think the band feeds off the audience...which may explain a few things. Oh well. I did enjoy my time there. I wouldn't rather be anywhere else but experiencing Coldplay that night. Whatever the problem was, I hope it's fixed, whether it's much needed rest, technical problems, whatever.... I'm confident as the tour progresses, things will only get better :smug: Now, I'll just cross my fingers for that phantom Anaheim gig ;)
  17. I heard Jessica's interview on KROQ yesterday. Some of the stuff I actually remember from it: * She had been stressed out for weeks since people she hadn't even talked to since high school were asking if they could come. * Chris asked her if he can use her "loo" :laugh3: * Her dad was piss drunk and was saying, "CHRISSSS!!" and Chris went up to him and said, "You're drunk, aren't you?"(don't quote me exactly) * They played 6 songs and she got to pick all the songs. Can't remember most of them, but I remember, "Green Eyes" and "Yellow" * Kevin or Bean (on KROQ) was going on about how great Coldplay is for doing this sorta thing... .... That's all I remember. I won tickets from KROQ, too.. unfortunately I didn't win the grand prize (Them playing @ my house of course)...
  18. Yah, but were you guys called a starbucks "Venti" :laugh3: C'mon now, their 1st shows were in SoCal, so they were just starting out.. testing the setlists... Plus I heard the San Jose crowd blew... Glad you had a great time, though :)
  19. 9:34pm Sitting in my hot living room, dreading work tomorrow and fighting sleep.
  20. Ok......so........Is this the "official" U.S.A. thread?? Hrm.... So when people say, "Stupid Americans", they're talking about all the Americas, right? :laugh3: California representing (SoCal to be exact) :smug:
  21. WOAH!! Sounds like SOO much fun! I totally could've skipped work and done it.. but I've been to TV tapings before and would wait all day and the band would only play like 3 songs..... Had I known I would actually be able to MEET them... Shiz.. I would've totally gone! You're SO lucky. I'm still on a concert high since the Forum show 2 days ago. I'll def. be watching the tonight show and will be looking for your tattoo :) My channel 4 kinda sucks, though. I hope someone puts it on youtube :) Were there a lot of people there (for coldplay?) Or was it only you and a few others that got to meet them since you waited so long?
  22. isn't the Lumix great? The quality of the video mode is excellent. :) Lemme guess, Costco, right? hehe. I just have to figure out the right setting. I'm not really camera savvy and kinda screwed up my pics :embarassed:.. I kinda went thru. the night using the "candlelight" mode. Any tips? I know what you mean. My friends aren't as hardcore as I am when it comes to certain bands. The only person I'd feel completely comfortable w/ is myself, sad to say. My ex-bf would only go cuz I wanted to, but I felt like he was bored just standing there.. and last night I went w/ a friend who didn't know who coldplay was....:\ but she liked it.. but she wasn't reeling after the show as i was... Not her cup of tea, I guess.
  23. Just saw Coldplay last night @ the Forum and was blown away. I've seen them twice before, but this has to be BY FAR their best concert.... Chris was just SO FULL OF ENERGY. I went crazy and sitting here w/ a post concert high, I just HAD to buy a ticket to their LV show. I have a pretty good seat (L13) and will be by myself. So, for those of you who are around me.. be nice :) It' s my 1st concert experience alone :) Also, in regards to the cameras. Did anyone here go to the Irvine Verizon Wireless Amp, when they said, "NO CAMERAS", but during the show the screens prompt us to take out the cameras and take a damn picture!! That pissed me off, having to walk back to my damn car in the huge parking lot just to put it away. So, ever since then, I've hid my camera. Last night, the security guard asked if I had one, and I said, "No".. and everyone and their momma had one out last night. My camera isn't too tiny, either. It's a lumix. TRY sneeking it in.. It'll be worth it :) Anyhoo. I'm so excited for the LV show!!!
