The VH1 countdown is pretty terrible, guys. I'm surprised people still watch that.

:laugh3: Nice. And Get on Your Boots is pretty good. Especially the "LET ME IN THE SOUND!!!" part.

Life In Technicolor 3
I remember someone did one like that on a Radiohead message board - ateaseweb, to be exact. I'll try to find it, but I can't upload it, as I'm on a different computer.

Don't bands usually get 2-3 songs, though? If so, Bodysnatchers followed by Reckoner would be an awesome combo, especially if they utilize a string section on the latter. If it's just one, I still think Reckoner sums up the album the best. Bodysnatchers is great, but it's the only song that goes crazy like that on the album, and people may get the wrong impression as to how In Rainbows really sounds. And if they do play House of Cards, that's fine as well. It's a great song, I just think it's a tad too long and it's a bit too hypnotic for the Grammys - meaning that it stays locked in the same groove throughout. I think the crowd will be impressed with whatever they play.

Yeah, looking back at some of the YouTube vids...it was a great night, no doubt about it. But, 21 songs? I only counted 20. Are you counting The Escapist? And the guy in the video before Politik was Bill O'Reilly, a Conservative tool if there ever was one.

I still say Politik was the best part of the show... I was a bit insulted, as a Hartford native, at his jab at the audience after playing a bit of The Hardest Part...I thought the song was excellent on piano, and I don't think lack of crowd enthusiasm was the problem, as plenty of people around me were belting out the chorus...but I heard he kind of did the same thing at an earlier show, but eventually played the second half of the song later in the set. For a stadium rock band, they're really personable guys, that's for sure. They don't mind laughing and joking around with the audience, whereas a band like Radiohead are strictly business. Speaking of Radiohead, before playing The Scientist, Chris made a comment like, "We're the best band in the world! (loud screams from audience)...well, actually, we're about the 2nd-best band in Britain!"

They played a techno version of God Put a Smile Upon Your Face...and about the first half of The Hardest Part before stopping it because, as Martin put it, "it's not a big enough hit". Awesome show, the energy from the band and the crowd was great. I wish they came out for an acoustic encore like they did a couple times so far...but Death and All His Friends is a more than capable closer. Best song by far was Politik...they blasted right into it after a video montage of Bill O'Reilly calling Martin a "coward" and of various politicians dancing...great night, it was.

To say that In Rainbows is a DECLINE in quality really speaks to how excellent the band as a whole is. I personally feel IR is their best album since OKC.

I plan on getting SOME kind of souvenir... I remember meeting Eddie Vedder and Stone Gossard from Pearl Jam after I went to see them in June '06...I was waiting at a bus stop near the Dodge Music Center and I happened to catch them walking (rather quickly) on the sidewalk...presumably to the tour bus. I'll tell you one thing...they better not pull a Toronto 2nd night and have no encore.

Well, I live in Hartford, and trust me, you probably won't experience any problems there. It's a "dangerous" city much in the same vein as most cities - there's the nice part and the slums. I live two blocks up from the XL Center, and there's always a lot to do...there's plenty of excellent restaurants and bars.

You'll probably like In Rainbows better than Kid A or Amnesiac (Kid A is excellent, but a very challenging record...Amnesiac is equally puzzling but has "Pyramid Song", "I Might Be Wrong", and "Knives Out", three excellent songs). HTTT you might like, especially "2 + 2 = 5" and "There There"...and IR is simply excellent all the way through.
