  9. Coz the grammar police sez so I studied English Language for a few years so I'll try to answer best I can. I think you'll find your answer if you look back at the progression of modern English. It's mostly because back in ye olden days a minority of people used to be able to spell and they all spelled things differently. Until some people came along and set specific rules about lexis and spelling, punctuation, grammar rules and all that jazz. (some people where spelling things in their accent, I can't think of an example right now but it was weird as hell) Their group has a name but I can't actually remember it. These people strictly enforced the grammar rules into every bit of written text and most of the rules still stand today. It was a way to get the whole of the English language into a proper standardised order so we could actually understand what people where writing. This is still practised today and is seen as the "correct" way of writing as it is formal, proper and worldly recognised. Maybe in the future we will stop using full stops, who knows. There are a bunch of other rules that we don't really follow already, especially when we are writing in an informal way. Most of us don't really mind if there are no capitals or a lack of punctuation. However a lot of people feel that we should not lose our grammar rules lest we all fall into the habit of tlkin lyke dis all teh tyme!!! which is understandable. Also, in reference to the God thing, there are different types of nouns. Concrete, Abstract and Proper. The word God can be an abstract noun.... used to label intangable things. Such as taste or touch or fear or curiosity. But it is also a name of someone so it fall under the category of Proper noun too. So it depends whether you're talking about God as a person or god as an idea as to whether it's capitalised. (I'm not sure if you were asking that, but still.)
  10. wut r u srs Nathan was complete asshole on here, although I realize he is probably alright to talk to on a one to one basis or over private chat. Anyway I'm pretty sure he knew he was going to be perma-banned eventually so I wouldn't feel sorry for him.

  13. Do you think that you would be fully accepting of gays if the bible didn't say anything about it? or do you think even if the bible said nothing about gay people, you would still feel that it is not correct.
  14. I can imagine if a band brought out 2 albums a year everyone would be sick to death of their music. Unless you're Rhianna with a million people who write songs for you and all you have to do is turn up and sing. It could be a marketing ploy in that case, the anticipation and waiting for an album leads to more sales perhaps. or there are a lot of people involved with creating a tv series, you only have to watch the credits to see how many. Whereas (ignoring production teams and all those people who sort out their stage sets and tour dates) in a band there are usually 3 or 4ish people doing a heavy amount the work. I don't really know enough about either writing tv series or music so I'm just guessing.

Fire :blank: I'm fine with enclosed fire - fireplaces, candles in glasses. lanterns. I'm fine with being near fire or walking past it. But I'm terrified of holding matches or lighters. I think it's more an irrational fear of panicing and dropping it and setting everything on fire or setting my hair on fire like a girl did at school with one of the bunsen burners. That was not pleasant.
  16. I also hate it when you take a bath and your hands go super crinkly and horrible and touching a towel (or anything for that matter) with crinkle fingers makes me cringe.
  17. I took my laptop to the shop it was bought from and talked to their tech guys. Seems they can't fix it. The only solution that they thought may fix it is if I upgraded to Windows 8. I did that (because it was free for me anyway) but it still hasn't resolved the problem. Oh well spose I'll have to live with it.
