I can detect a similarity in that short chord progression. I agree that Chris Martin needs to be honest about that vocal melody because according to what he says in this video, this little "thing" (referring to the vocal melody of "I used to rule the world") just came to him late one night. *shrugs* It starts around 1:20 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTvj4xLZD_4]YouTube - Coldplay talk to Steve Lamacq[/ame] It's a common chord progression. Maybe he did hear Satriani's song somewhere in the past, and who knows, he may not have even known who the artist was. Then the melody and lyrics just pop in his head one day. It happens.

*waves* I didn't know there was a "Harry Potter" thread. I love the series. :D I found these great HBP promo pictures. I hope they haven't been posted before. ... or the main female character for that matter. I love the "Harry Potter" series but I don't follow canon character relationships at all. I'm a Draco/Hermione shipper myself. I love the whole "bad boy/good girl" angle and the idea of "forbidden love". I've also made manips of them together. :)
