possible Planetarium tour
I really missed out on the Royal Albert Hall shows – I had been to visit my Mum, who is not well, she has Cancer, and did not know about the sale and then when I got home and looked online I saw that they were sold out, which did not surprise me, I felt sad. I naturally presumed that with such an intimate venue – I had signed up for the presale via buying a 2nd CD at Amazon, but did not get through, that they had all legitimately sold out, Coldplaying did not cross my mind as a possibility, I trawled the two dates 1 and 2 on the 3rd and felt gutted, there is no such a thing as a victimless crime, viagogo should go. I did think whilst watching the Sky broadcast that it would be possible to use vacant warehouses across the world as venues, the use of one there was inspirational. The band wouldn’t even have to be there, this would be appropriate as the title of the album is Ghost Stories, they could turn up as ‘ghosts’ in various guises, either as automatons made of folded card doing gymnastics in the air pulled by ropes or in tv screens as their former and current incarnations, as waxworks or as moving white sheets with projections on them. I would call this the Planetarium tour, the centrepiece would be a canvas planetarium pulled into an approximate curve, a linear one like the lines on a globe, by ropes of definite length behind, tied on to a pole shelf system – like a Grundtal shelf at Ikea – and these lying on a square cube grid. The flat surface may make projections easier. The centre stage, in the same format as in the Albert Hall, like the projector at the London Planetarium, which could, using simple projectors, put videos on to the canvas. Projecting songs with constellations like Atlas and a Sky Full of Stars and other lively and appropriate songs for the setting. To enter you’d come to the warehouse at your Flight Time – the good thing about this format is although the venues might be small the turnaround adds up the numbers, so per day it all adds up. When you enter you’d check in and be given an origami star to make from print-outs of lyrics and a card bird with flapping wings which you’d fix with glue – all to the background music of Fix You etc. gentle music to suit those who are tired travelling and to encourage vocal interaction with others – this would be highly interactive, you’d be working with others to achieve these tasks – Coldplay are Ace with interactivity as we know. Once this has been being done for a set time you’d go into the departure lounge which would be full of themed stores with their décor matching the albums they portray: Parachutes travel essentials A Rush of Blood to The Head bar pub café eatery restaurant X&Y chemists with brightly coloured bottles … Viva La Vida French Connection clothes Mylo Xyloto Arts Crafts and toys, particularly Snoopys and Charlie Browns! Ghost Stories books They would have Madame Tassauds waxworks of the band milling around in them looking as they did at the time of the album. They could contain classic tour gear used e.g. the light protractor rings in Mylo Xyloto as part of the sets. After another set amount of time you would go to the gates – 1 to 10 – based on your height the smallest at 1 and the tallest at 10, this is so that when everyone is in the planetarium everybody can see, the smallest would go to the centre and the tallest on the edge (you would declare your height at customs!) this would also look good and smooth (and may solve an issue at all concerts of small people paying to see the backs of tall people rather than what they came to see – to set a trend) All your items, including what you have just made and water bottles would be handed in at this point – they would be in duty-free style carrier bags which people would have labelled with a sticker at arrival with their name and flight number, they would be hung onto a wheely and taken to the end, baggage reclaim, where the band could put an envelope of confetti with stars, butterflies and MX symbols in it as a surprise. You would enter the planetarium via a path rising and falling, like a walked flight simulation, and as an individual, this would be the spiritual euphoric section, with lively numbers and lights and lasers. I’m thinking about 40 minutes in here. There will be an orrery like in the album artwork. Once you come out you will be instructed and guided to hold somebody’s hand as you go out, where you will go through a maze to True Love, the lyrics of the music will start when everyone’s in and be timed to end when everyone’s about to exit. Confetti like when you’re just married would flow around here, the end part would be the quiet bells. When they exit they’ll enter the forest zone, with the trees and stars on the sky, IKEA do star shaped lamps which you could spray paint white. Where the planetarium would be bright this would be dark. This’ll be the natural zone with the current album artwork in physical non projected form and would be lit subtly and slightly sombrely, this could be a wide spare giving the feeling of abandonment of being alone. The whole thing would end with Midnight and as it ends the lights would go out at the back end drawing you out to a long tunnel which would have a light at the end of it, in the end that would be all you see. Then the doors would open to bright light and you will have arrived! At baggage reclaim you will be given your bags and merchandise would be available (if you’d missed out earlier in the departure lounge). The whole event would be 1 ½ to 2 hours but as it’s all flowing through its like loads of concerts going on concurrently, say for a capacity of 1000 you’d get 3000 through each hour, obviously scalable, and as you could have nearly constant flight times, starting really early in the morning to late at night, the numbers add up, and as they’d be local this’d be easier, the car parks would flow with regularity as departure times could be generated prior to the next arrivals. It’d be cheap in vacant warehouses and could keep travelling on and on until the next album’s out. I’m currently thinking through tracks for contexts. Any thoughts so far? I’ll put mine up after my travels, and any ideas and thoughts I meant to say here now . I’m travelling myself to New York on Sunday where I’m staying at the W Hotel in Times Square from 13-17 July. I’ll be cycling to see Madonna’s House there as my sister (she went to your sister school Chris with Camila Batmanghelidjh and has told me some funny stuff about her!) and I will be hiring bicycles from Central Park on Monday or Tuesday, (I’m going to the 911 museum as I knew a lot about that but have never been able to afford to go to get over it, on one of those days also) I used to write to Madonna, Sting, Gywneth and Chris via Lake House by hand, though with the internet this isn’t necessary, I can write here for e.g. They wrote Princess of China for me as I’d had a nasty experience with the royals, they really hurt me, I glared at the Queen at the Paralympics when that was played, so going to the Royal Albert Hall might have hurt too much. But blessings can come in disguise and maybe, although this potential tour was inspired by what I saw on Sky, if I had have gone I might have been satisfied and that would be that. I wondered when it was released whether it was really a Winter album, this potential tour could go out then, perhaps we could crowd help it into being, making stuff and finding suitable venues local to us, it’ll be nice not to travel too far to see a Coldplay experience and go further in mind that way. I’ll reveal who I really am when I return, so I don’t advertise a rob me while I’m away on facebook, and share this there then, True Fans who Truly Love Coldplay first.

The Confetti Mailing Exchange!
I think it'd be lovely - I've thought this for a long time too - for Coldplay to release a mini Concert @ Home pack - with Confetti featuring in it - for sale - they could sell Confetti on its own too - a Butterfly pack and a MX pack - I'd buy it as it would be pristine - and the Coldplay Concert @ Home pack could include sort-of working Xylobands sort-of in that you'd have flashing but not as sophisticated as the radio-controlled way which perhaps at this Stage would be too expensive. The Butterflies could be sold in Tissue, Foil & Fluorescent as they were cannoned out at the Viva concerts. They could come (optionally) with an air pump cannon to place them on to make it real - and big balloons to put confetti in could be sold too, or normal sized ones for mini concerts, complete - for MX with graffitti on them. The confetti could be sold at quarter scale and full scale, with the smaller scale could make your living room feel like an arena! Glow in the dark long thin sticks could simulate lasers, or something like that. Fireworks on a screen saver ... I'd did get some Butterflies at Birmingham, Viva la Viva tour, but I want to keep them, as I got told off 10 times for gathering them up at the end.

My Xyloband Passed Away Last Night :(
I posted a reply on page 3 of this thread: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92275&page=3 It shows you, via a link, what the Xylobands look like inside, so you can unscrew it to open it up, and then replace the batteries. One of my bands - the blue one - suddenly decided to light up - I'm not sure why [Answers please] so I put a paperclip into it to turn it off, which has worked to preserve the batteries, so I don't have to replace them so soon (I've just checked it still goes on) [i wonder whether if other radio signals or other signals that turn them on]

Does everyone get a xyloband?
I think it would work as it has enough battery to be activatable for a long time. I wanted to know what they loooked like inside and I came across this site: http://hackaday.com/2012/02/19/ask-hackaday-did-you-catch-the-grammys/#comments which although some of their theories are way out is interesting. :shocked2: <- eye-opener There are several YouTube videos showing how to make them work at home, but the effect is not the same, perhaps if someone could get hold of the radio frequency control soft and hard ware we coldplayers could do a flashmob literally!!! somewhere, anywhere, London ... ... that would be fun, bringing along some music to go with it, Charlie Brown and Viva la Vida is what I'm thinking of, revolutionary :laugh3::rolleyes: I wouldn't arrive too late as someone who arrived after the warm-up acts didn't get one (on the 4th June), there was a rumour that another person or people got loads hence running out. If you are a hand them outer could you please stick to one each, it won't affect me as I've already been, but I don't like the feeling others will miss out, and gaps in the stadiums would look weird. :stunned:

[4-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Emirates Stadium, London, UK
I am so so glad you managed to get in, and at a reasonable price - as I was so worried for you when I rang to say the person who I had promised my spare ticket to who was unwell had managed to get there - I felt Oh no! as it is so hard to be so close and then disappointed - obviously you were meant to be there that night! I was on the side that they ran around in the encore to get to the front in actual touching distance - so Ace! - it was a most brilliant and moving night - the whole rainbow of emotions, sounds and colours - they light up your life, they really do!

2012 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
I've PMed a couple of people about this, who are after a ticket, no reply as yet, I've only just this minute PMed coldplay are forever to be fair, but I just want to give it the best chance of going to someone and so they know they can go tomorrow and sleep well tonight. I'll say as soon as it has gone. PM me if you'd like it. I have a spare ticket and I didn't want to leave a gap in the stadium, it would be such a waste. If you like bring £60 to the gig and I'll give you the change, so you get it exactly at the price I paid for it. I got one on the face value thread which I paid a bit more for as I had to do a transfer as the guy had a Euro account he was from Germany and I was going to meet him, but he could not go, that's why, and the day after I paid this, because of worrying about the post, not him, I bought another when they released some more, so it'd be lovely if the ticket could go to you. I'm coming in on a Barnes coach from Swindon (Red writing copper Green background) googles Barnes coaches Swindon to see what they look like, we could arrange to meet and exchange phone numbers to make sure we do. I'm leaving home at 1:30 tomorrow. I'm on-line now and will keep checking back. Hope to see you there!

2012 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
I got a ticket for the 4th of June here courtesy of approximately - Thank you very much - and the day after I paid for this and the post and other costs (inc. bank charges, international) which I did well to be fair to approximately Coldplay released a whole batch of tickets - and worrying that the ticket I had paid for might get lost in the post (our end I fully trusted the sender) I bought one - which I clearly don't need, One only needs one ticket for one concert! The cost for this was £59.95 in total, so if you'd like this at that rate, and can bring £60 in notes (lighter, easier to carry securely) on the day and I'll bring the 5p change for you, or I can post out to you if a transfer can be arranged by yourself for me. PM me if you are interested and we can make arrangements. This are General Admission - Standing and Level 1

2012 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
A so-called friend who promised to sell me their spare 4th June standing ticket - in the week they sold out - has seriously let me down by when I asked them had they received it and about giving them the cash for them said they had sold them on ebay - so it's now very difficult for me to get one - I'm despirate to go and feel utterly devastated at the moment - I only need one ticket - has anyone got one at a reasonable price ie. Face Value and an amount for the hassle and costs involved sending it to me.

Moving to Mars directed by Mat Whitecross
You're all right! From Facebook: About an hour ago Coldplay's Message from their page: Do have a look at the website for Mat Whitecross' beautiful documentary about two Burmese families fleeing to England (it's the original inspiration for the Coldplay song of the same name). http://www.movingtomarsfilm.com/ It confirms what everyone is thinking.

[Official Wembley Choreography] Yellow Glowsticks!
I rang Wembley as Security at various venues is so random - I had to drink a whole little bottle of Ribena in Cardiff only to see the bins full of little bottles inside the stadium by where you had to buy drinks - you can bring uncapped bottles in to Wembley - also they are very happy with the glowstick thing - I'm sure Coldplay would have checked with Wembley prior to asking us anyway - and as they've said it'll go ahead, so don't worry. I went to see Coldplay last year and was really happy with that thinking I'll let someone else have a go at seeing them - until they announced this so I've got the ticket and I've sent off for some mixed bracelets and 5 mixed glowsticks - very Chris Martin's fingers! - so I'm going to have a glow and get to see all of this - I'll be sitting in Club Wembley West Block 226 Row 12 Seat 283 - Where will you be? Thanks so much for starting off this starry sparkly set - Super!!!!
