  1. ^^ Oh, the irony! :laugh3: @ all the previous posts on this page: Geez, the greed of these d-bags is above and beyond! It seems that they expect to make the most profit in the big cities :veryangry: Some people were able to find single or double seats at the smaller cities' venues. I'm talking about the orchestra section (the ones right near the stage) and on the first rows of the following sections (middle-tier). Granted, they got the last rows of the closest sections, but still.
  2. ^^Awesome! Good follow-up plan. Just try, some people have gotten better seats, or even just simply got seats (after being told by the website that there weren't any), later on in the day. Last resort, get lawn tix, and try to be early at the venue.
  3. Today, when many of the concerts go on general sale, people are already complaining on the other threads that the people who bought on the presale got better seats  Apparently, they haven't care to read the posts from previous days, where people doing the presale complained about being screwed over. The last post by tigermilk makes it crystal clear that the chances of getting a seat or seats in the closest sections are NULL, this is my logic: a) LiveNation nor Ticketmaster get all the tickets b) Roadies, venue sponsors, and radio stations mostly get the best seats, which they usually give away to employees, radio-listeners, or sell thru these actions sites. c) LiveNation and Ticketmaster don't make all the tickets show up at once, but gradually. That could explain why the same ticket was showing up for the Charlotte concert to me. What I get from other people's experience with presale and general sale is that getting a close seat will only work if: a) Do the presale -- it's highly unlikely you'll get better seats on the gen sale. Plus, you have 12 hours to try the presale. Sometimes better seats show up as the day progresses. b) Buy a single ticket -- this one sucks, but it seems to work. I'm not saying you have to go alone. It means that if you're buying 2 tickets, you buy each separately. I understand if you cannot or don't want to try option B.
  4. ^Other people at the other threads are saying that today's tickets are worse. Oh, they are also complaining that all the good tix were sold on the pre-sale. Well, I hope they refer to the "best tickets available" since we all know that the great tickets are going to auctions :dozey:
  5. Nope :disappointed: But I've been told NC is beautiful :nice: I'm not as concerned about getting a tix (it's gonna be lawn anyway), but of finding a place to stay in Charlotte :uhoh: There's hope for Raleigh because my mom has a friend there. Well, the posters are mostly for early in the day. The idea is to wait for Coldplay arrive at the venue
  6. Yeah, you got tickets! I remember you were writing about searching on Live Nation later in the day of the pre-sale. I knew there would be tix later on.
  7. HAHAHAHA, nice! I wish I had found a $ bill when I looked for buttlerflies after the concert was over. My sister and I went down from our middle-tier seats to the floor, and grabbed as many butterflies as possible until security asked us to leave (they gave us 15 minutes though)
  8. ^Yeah, call Live Nation. It's suspicious that they don't put the seating chart along with your search results. I bet those tickets you got you should be in the $75 ($100 with fees) category.
  9. Wait, so you bought two tickets, but you searched and purchsed them separately. Just to make sure because I'm going to do that to buy a ticket for myself and one for my sister for the Tampa concert. It kinda shucks the two of you will be far apart. How's the view from your seat? One girl going to this concert got a single tix on Section 3, Row GG, and from the 3D chart it doesn't look that bad.
  10. ^^^^ LiJ! Lovers in Japan! ^oh, that's awesome, enjoy the concert!
  11. Wait, are you two the twinplets?
  12. *sees picspam* ----> :dead: I really, really, really need to hang around my concert venue cuz I must get a glimpse of that hot British bloke! :wink3: Only need to score a tix near the soundbox, and my life would be complete. Can you imagine if I get an upgrade? Instead of saying "Jonny's side" or "Guy's side," I would ask "Is it near Phil?" :wacky:
  13. Which one is "the sweater"? Where was she? What is she talking about being in that place where the pic was taken? Trivia question: Which chocolate does Chris like? Dark or milk? I like dark :smug:
  14. ^Who's Denise? :uhoh: Where did she meet Guy? EDIT: Awesome GIFspam Paula!
  15. ^^I'm hoping Oxfam asks for volunteers. That's why I'm waiting to get the Charlotte and Raleigh tix. Oh, and the fact that I get to spread the word about Oxfam :)
  16. For which concert? Carson? @ Zoe: I still think I can go directly to Live Nation, and just write the Ticket Rush password.
  17. ^Does that mean Oxfam will be working on the US concerts this year too?
  18. That's a good one, but mine will also say on the other side "All the way from Florida!"
  19. Actually, that is a good idea, the thing is to be at the venue early enough. There have been some Coldplayers who have gotten upgrades. Just you have to show your devotion. Three of us are planning on going to the NC concerts and then to Tampa. I haven't bought my NC tix, but I have time since I sitting on the lawn anyway. I wanna travel mostly to have more chances to meet the band.
  20. LiveTicketBastard :laugh3:
  21. ^^^Congrats Zoe! Only you and another guy in San Diego got orchestra seats! (Hint: both of you are going on your own) Well of course Ticket Rush won't sell tickets. It only gives you the password, which you use on Live Nation (or Ticketmaster if your concert is selling there too)
  22. ^^^At least in Louisiana the law says it's illegal. That scalping shit is LEGAL in Florida. Gosh, I'm so pissed right now. The FL concert presale and sale are gonna suck for all the true fans here that want to get good seats. ^Your explanation is true, Technicolour. TM has set up its own scalpers after getting fooled by others. TM went "WTF? We can set up our own, and get the profit"
  23. ^Wow, Glastonbury sounds amazing! I recently received an invite to go to Egypt, only have to pay the airplane ticket. Mommies or Coldplay? anyway, what I have learned from everyone's experience today was: (a) don't have high hopes (b) try the pre-sale © search for single tickets.
  24. ^I think it depends on the city. Houston would sell quicker than Oregon. Yeah, LiveNation and Tickermaster stink! They probably will sell certain amount of tickets every day. When I went to see Jason Mraz, I found a good seat 2 weeks before the concert thru the venue website. Meanwhile, I checked Ticketmaster every day and it would say that they had no more tickets
  25. I gonna buy two single tickets. Not telling my sister until I get them. She'll get pissed, but I think she'll eventually understand. I hope :uhoh:
