The way he keeps bringing up his reputation I think shows that he's kind of caught up with it. Like he kind of thinks it defines him and maybe he feels like he needs to live up to that? Or that he can't really escape it. I think the way he seems to be taking it slow shows that he's not just screwing around and is trying to prove that to you. I read through the whole thread and he keeps contacting you... even when you dont contact him and that shows that he's really interested. I just say keep at the pace you're going right now. Maybe turn it up a notch... just to show that you are interested but obviously aren't going to move as fast as he may be used to. I mean every girl wants to tame a bad boy and have him fall madly in love with her... RIGHT? Good luck to youu.

I'm just bumping this cause I feel like I have to tell someone but don't wanna talk to anyone I actually know. I'm so scared that things will change if I have to leave... I don't wanna look back at this time in my life and have him be a memory of that amazing guy I used to date... but the distance made things different. My review. Sorry it took so long. 1. Nice acoustic start. I don't like the weird breathing type thing in the chorus. But I really like the vocals. Not crazy about the breathy thing again. I think I'd appreciate other songs of this band. Gets better as it goes on. Second time around I like it more. 2. Sounds familiar. I think I've heard it before. Arcade Fire? I don't really listen to them but I think I've heard it before. Anyways. Really good tune, been meaning to get into them but large discographies scare me. I've listened to this track a bunch of times outside the mixtape and love it. Definitely gonna make me check them out more seriously. 3. Bon Iver right? It's okay. He's a bit slow/acoustic for my liking, but everyone else seems to love him. It's a pretty song but not something I'd listen to regularly. The more I listen to it though… the nicer it gets. So maybe I changed my mind. It would be nice for those lazy mellow days. 4. Alex Turner. Love this soundtrack. I love this song. 5. Starts off upbeat with goofy lyrics. It's a cute little song. I love the end bit where it picks up a bit. Haha, I like it. It's fun and cute. 6. Mellow song with a poppy chorus. I like it. It's got a bit of a summer feel to it and the chorus / high pitch singing is probably my favourite part of the track. Catchy tune where I find myself bobbing to the chorus on the first listen. 7. Fleet Foxes? Never liked them. Don't shoot me. A bit too acoustic, slow, and folky for my tastes. The weakest song on the tape for me so far. Just not enough going on for me. 8. Two Door Cinema Club. I don't listen to them too much but I know this song and like it quite a bit. Good upbeat tune. 9. Not really my thing. Too slow, not enough going on again. The second half is just boring for me. 10. When I heard the opening… I was like oh… not really a fan of the vocals and all that. But as the song picked up… It was totally different… I liked it a lot, definitely loving the upbeat style after the last slow song. It's really good once it picked up. 11. This is a really simple acoustic song. Simple lyrics and what not. Not one of my favourites at all. Just a bit boring. 12. Another acoustic song. This one is not bad though. Rooooosseeesss. I definitely like this one better than the other slower songs, but still a bit slow. 13. This song sounds familiar. Mumford and Sons? I tried listening to them. Couldn't do it. Again, don't shoot me. Just not my taste. 14. Foals. Spanish Sahara. I've listened to them a bit. This is the song of their's that stuck out to me the most. It's beautiful. 15. Saaad song to end the mixtape. It's another slow acoustic song. But I dig sad depressing songs. So I like it. Lol, as messed up as that is, it's true. Overall. I enjoyed the mixtape and found some songs I'm gonna me listening to for a long time. I liked the upbeat tunes more than the acoustic, slow ones. My favourite new ones were probably 2, 5, 6, 10, and 15. Thanks for the mixtape! Sorry I took so long to review it.

That's mine! Sorry for taking to long to realize you had reviewed it! Run the Heart - Sleigh Bells -- Glad you liked it! Was hesitant about starting the mixtape with it cause like you said it does sound a bit RnB ish but it's really good stuff. The whole album 'Treats' has a similar sound if you wanna check that out! Only If You Run - Julian Plenti -- Yup, you're right. His solo stuff. It's a great solo effort, imo. Better than the stuff Interpol's been putting out of late. Baseball Cards - Wavves -- Yeah definitely a summery track, been stuck in my head a lot of late. The Sun - The Naked and Famous -- I just love this song because it slowly builds up to a peak at the end and just gets better as it goes on. Islands - The XX -- Yayy! I love them too. :) As you might've guess since I did include them in my mixtape. ;) Houdini - Foster The People -- I had the same initial thought! His voice was too.. high pitched? If that the right way to describe it? But it grew on me and now this album's one of my current favorites. Black & Blue - Miike Snow -- I guess I can understand why you don't like this song. It's a bit poppy. I just like it cause its upbeat and sounds nice with headphones on! Sorry that you didn't like it. Buttons - Sia -- It's pretty much what you said it is! :P Random Firl - Late of The Pier -- Aww :( I just like the tune of this song. But I do agree about it being too short. You should check out the rest of their album... those tracks are longer. I promise. A Thing For Me - Metronomy -- I actually wasn't gonna put this on because I didn't think you'd like the vocals as they can get annoying! I'm glad you did though. Backstreet Lovers - The Crookes -- I loooove this song. I listened to it on repeat for like a week. So upbeat and summer. Glad you liked it. Gorbachev - 41st and Home -- This song is actually by a band that some guy I barely know from first year uni is in. Anyways, he posted it on Facebook and I was super impressed. Great tune. State Of The Union - David Ford -- Someone put this on a mixtape for me a long while ago, and since then it's become one of my favorite songs. And yeah the passion in the song is what really gets me.
