  1. I've been thinking about this for a while. How do you think Coldplay will be remembered after like 20 or so years? I mean they're pretty huge now. And to me, like their music is the best stuff ever. But I still don't feel like it's going to be legendary among the public. And think the perception of the band is too negative for them to be truly appreciated for their music and what not. The stereotypes and whatever. You look at young people today (not the Jonas Brothers crowd) that will try to get into older music. And you get a bunch of Pink Floyd / ACDC headbangers. Then everyone will download Beatles, Doors tunes etc. U2 maybe? I just don't see kids 20 years down the road downloading AROBTTH and being like WOAH. Even though they should and if they hear it they might say WOAH. That kind of makes me feel like Coldplay won't really be remembered in 20 or whatever years. Cause that'll absolutely happen with some bands. I love Snow Patrol but I don't anticipate many people even hearing of them in the future. But then there's another side of me that thinks that Coldplay has such a bad wrap now, and that in the future people might not be as I dunno, ignorant? and actually look at them for their music and realize how good they actually are. But I definately can't imagine them winning any you know, lifetime acheivement awards or anything. (Maybe only at NRJ lol). But obviously they have a long way to go... and maybe they will make an album that will blow everyone away. It's hard for me to picture that though, because it seems like there are so many haters. And maybe it's because right now we're in this bubble of Coldplay which is the present, and it's hard to imagine what will happen in the future. But I dunno. And I reckon they'll be better remembered in England, but in North America it's even tougher. It just makes me wonder what kind of place will Coldplay have in music history. And where they will rank among other bands that are old but still huge. Bigger than Oasis (I'd think so)? But what about Radiohead, U2, The Beatles (They obviously won't be that big, but you know)? I just realized this is a long read, but I'd like people's opinions.
