  1. It's like opening your presents before Christmas. No way am I listening to a shameful leak or even the official samples. It's bad enough knowing half the songs already from the live shows!
  2. You'd think in 2011 we would have gotten over this kind of thing, but sadly there are still people in the world obsessed with other people's appearances. How pathetic.

I'm a fan of both bands, but Coldplay are by far my favourite. I think it's a silly comparison made by people that have only heard snippets of Parachutes, or maybe haven't heard Coldplay's music at all. For me, Muse sound more like Radiohead (aswell as Queen in certian songs) but this never gets mentioned.
  4. Yeh me too, it's one of their best videos for quite some time.
  5. They all look and sound amazing, Jonny has really impressed me so far with the other new songs. BIG thanks to whoever recorded the stream, just a shame there isn't any video as of yet!
  6. I feel embarrassed by some "fans" responses, fair enough it's OK to dislike the song and voice that opinion but you're taking it a little far. Remember when Chris used to say we were the best fans in the world?? Coldplay are the best band in the world because they only release good music, compare that to other artists that regularly put out terrible singles, even entire albums. I love the new song and so do the vast majority. If anyone thinks they've sold out then they are very stupid indeed.
  7. I agree with everything you said. It certainly is a relation of "A Spell A Rebel Yell" but I also think a bit of Bruce Springsteen in there too.
  8. ^ Zemy, Coldplay have poetic lyrics, they've never been about straighforward/literal meanings. Take Clocks for example. It's about Apples, tigers, home, clocks, waves etc...
  9. I'm getting all kinds of crazy emotions listening to this, mainly how lucky I am to still be around to hear it, unlike other coldplay fans that has sadly died, (Nettie for example). I just think this song is stunning and really emotive. It will be one of their songs that ends up underrated and nobody can understand why. Give it time to sink in.
  10. If it's not then that's good because we get an extra song (hopefully) but if it is then I'm cool with that, because it's a brilliant song.
  11. Well done! I lol'd at the piano slide but I'm extremely impressed at how fast you uploaded this!
  12. Yeh exactly, and yeh isn't it funny how it grows after every listen! If you turn up the bass it sounds AMAZING btw, when the bass drum kicks in, epic.
  13. ^ Well said, it's not like the first singles have ever been the best on the album either. Violet Hill, Speed of Sound, In My Place etc.. All good but not the best, this one is better than all those in my opinion. JUST RELAX GUYS!
  14. I love it all except the "scottish Guitar" part which I think kind of diminishes the momentum of the song. Chris's voice sounds full of emotion and the lyrics "Maybe I'm in the black, maybe I'm on my knees, Maybe I'm in the gap, between the two trapeze" gives me shivers, It makes me think of the vastness of space. love it.
  15. Very well put Oldmuckers, I love how you articulated your post. I too have been a fan for a long time and share those exact sentiments. There is nothing better than listening to a brand new Coldplay album for the first time. I have even developed a routine where I have to turn all the lights off, lay on my bed and just listen from start to finish. I get waves of excitement throughout mixed with lots of wonderful emotions! This only happens with Coldplay's music. I wonder, does anyone else do anything like that?
