  1. Yeah, Lauren... that was me! :D And yes, he did nod!!! I can't remember if it was that same time or before, but he also turned in our direction and had this HUGE gorgeous smile! :wacky:
  2. ugh. believe me, I tried. My camera is so old and crappy that once it's in video mode you can't zoom in w/out stopping it, zooming and re-starting. :(
  3. hee hee! I thought you might appreciate that! :D Jonny was a dancin' fool!
  4. OK peeps. Here's my video of the c-stage. It's a bit washed out from the gigantic light that was shining in my face, and the quality is just so-so, but :wacky: what a moment!!! [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame]
  5. :D I've actually got to run now, but I'll be back on later! I'll take a pic and post it when I get back tonight!!
  6. Yeah, it was funny. When I told the people around me (who got there early) that the band would be RIGHT THERE, no one believed me at first. I was honestly afraid the girl standing directly behind me was going to faint. When they started the walk up from the stage, she was like, "OMG OMG, CHRIS MARTIN IS COMING HERE!!! OMG!!!" You can hear her screaming throughout my video. I went walking around looking for you, Angie, but I couldn't remember where you had said you were sitting. I was wearing a black tank top I decorated with a neon green LRLRL butterfly.
  7. GAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Awesome gifs, Brooke! And speaking of awesome gifs, Makayla- that gif is TO DIE FOR!!!! :dead: LOVE this pic, Christina!!! so cute. So, I'm assuming that none of you have read my review, so I'll just say this... :sneaky:
  8. Go Angie! And yes, Woot for Marta!!! That really helps build excitement! Thanks, Ian!! :D
  9. HI EVERYBODEEEEEEEE! I missed my Chris Friends! Please go check out my concert reviews on the Dallas and Houston threads... you'll especially like the one from HOUSTON! :D Oh, and I see Anna was kind enough to share the link to the evil laugh video I took. I'm so disappointed it came out so crappy... he looked hilarious and then he looked RIGHT AT ME!!! :dead: Christina- this is awesome... made me :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:
  10. Yay! I've had so much fun reading everyone's reviews and seeing all the pics and videos!! So glad everyone had a great time! MrMan, awesome pics and videos... in fact, I'm JUST outside the frame of your video of Death will never conquer! Angie- Awesome high 5's and Jackie love! Brenda- Gorgeous pics (great stuff for the Chris thread!! :D) We were on the lawn this night, since we had been in PIT the night before. I must say, this was THE BEST lawn experience I've ever had. We were directly on the barricade for the c-stage, which meant I had a completely unobstructed view of the stage (though they were still tiny!). My only complaint was that when we first got there (right when lawn gates opened), they had a canopy set up over the c-stage, and we didn't know if they were going to take it down, so we took seats just to the left of the actual stage. This resulted in us getting to see mainly the guys' backs at the c-stage, but it was still awesome. More on that in a sec... My husband and I were seated on the lawn by 5:40, so we settled in for a long wait. The security guy in front of us and I became great friends, chatting about the shows he's seen (he played with Gwen Stefani's kids when No Doubt was there last week!). We enjoyed the great opening acts. Kitty, Daisy and Lewis were AWESOME. Loved them. In fact, I need to go download their CD. Amadou and Mariam were also fun. About 20 minutes into our wait, a large cloud bank rolled in front of the sun, making things much more bearable. But that's also when I started to worry about rain. Anyway, Magnificent came on, then Jay-Z and the Blue Danube and everyone around me was very excited. I love that they have a roadie leading claps for the Blue Danube now. They didn't do that when I saw them in SA. Finally, the lights went out, LIT began, and the sparklers came out! Though I was a mile away, the energy and excitement were electric. As in Dallas the night before, the band sounded awesome. Chris' voice is just gorgeous live and the guys seemed to be in high spirits. Around the beginning of the show, we began to feel random drops of rain and see BIG flashes of lightning. The lightning intensified throughout the show, which was a little scary (but also kind of cool), as we were literally standing on a metal barricade, but luckily, the storm seemed to move away from us and we never got more than a few random drops. The storm did keep a nice breeze blowing, so though the lawn was PACKED (sec. guy said it was completely sold out), it was actually quite pleasant out there (for a Houston night, anyway!). The show progressed as normal (which is to say, it was fantastic) and I was excited to finally be able to really see the b-stage performance, as I had been in the PIT for Dallas and first row for SA and hadn't gotten to see it then. Loved GPASUYF and Talk, and HOPED that Chris would do Trouble again, but it was back to the Hardest Part. I knew we were getting close to c-stage time and started getting really excited. BTW, I was REALLY impressed by the crowd on the lawn. EVERYONE around me was standing the whole time and tons of people were singing their lungs out. From the very first words of Violet Hill I could hear people singing along. That was awesome. So when it was c-stage time, the band walked up the steps to the stage right in front of me. They got set up and for Green Eyes they were all kind of moving around and turning looking in different directions, so I got to see all of them really well. After that, they settled into a formation of all looking out in the same general direction (away from me :( ) but I still loved it. I took video of basically the whole c-stage set, so I'll get that uploaded and posted here soon. We got some great shots here, too. I got a huge smile from Guy (well, not just me, but ya know :P) and Jonny was really cute dancing around with his tamborine. I was struck by how INCREDIBLY BLUE Chris' eyes were (sorry for the fangirly moment) and Will was AWESOME. He was back toward my end of the stage, so I really got to watch him. So cool. So when the set was over and the guys went running off (Chris is ridiculously fast- he flew down the steps and was gone before the others even made it to the steps), my friend, security guy, hands two girls guitar picks that had been left on the stage, and one of the girls (she was probably around 16 and IN LOVE with Chris- very cute) got a bottle of water that one of the guys had been drinking from. Then he came over to me and handed me a bottle of water from the stage (still sealed, though) AND a towel that had been used to wipe Chris' sweaty brow :wacky: My husband was laughing at me like I was crazy, but I loved it!! Anyway, after that awesome moment, we were all pumped for the last few songs and the encore. Everyone was dancing around and singing. SO MUCH FUN. I was a little sad to see the concert end and have my summer of Coldplay come to a close, but everything was so fantastic. We have some awesome memories, and I've got some great souvenirs, too!! :D Highlights of the show for me: Strawberry Swing, LIJ (always such a great moment) and C-STAGE!!!!!! Video to come soon!!!
  11. It's probably still on Guy's head somewhere. I could really see his face as he turned to walk off stage and he looked very amused....and pretty comfortable wearing it! :D
  12. @Angie- nah... he was impressed by all the stories I told him about you. He's a huge music fan (but I'm the Coldplay lover in our house), so he can appreciate super fans! :D
  13. Caroline, those are great pics!! I especially love the ones where he has his head on the piano, and the last one from Strawberry Swing. gorgeous! btw, I love the gif in your sig, too! and how cool that you got to see them exactly 1 year from the first time you saw them! I've got some pretty good video and more pics to go through... so I'm sure I'll be posting more over the next couple of days. BUT, I've had a looonnnng day and I'm tired, so I'm off to bed. It was great chatting with you!! Talk to you later!
  14. They were awesome, thanks! I was in the PIT for Dallas, and was right next to the c-stage in Houston. Very different experiences, but I had sooo much fun. I haven't uploaded all my pics yet, and most of the ones I took were kinda crappy, but here are a couple I had the best view of Guy, and my camera sucks, so I didn't get many good Chris shots. My husband took a ton with our better camera, so hopefully, there'll be some good ones in there. EDIT: It's nice to meet you, Caroline! :)
  15. Hi ColdplayRulesTheWorld! I'm Jen. I'm sorry, I don't remember if we've met before... :nice: I was just checking in... was away for my concerts the last two days and wanted to say hi! :)
  16. Hey girls! anyone still on?
  17. Hey Everyone! Thanks for all the awesome pics and vids!! Angie your video looks incredible. I'm jealous. It was great to meet you and your costume was FANTASTIC! :nice: MrMan I'm so glad you had fun in the pit... I was crunched in the throng and had a little trouble seeing (and breathing at times!), but met some cool people and had fun. Allegra-congrats on completing mission Cowboy hat!! That's awesome! I noticed you wearing the hat when I got into the pit and laughed when I saw Guy walking off stage with it! :) This was the 2nd show for me on this tour and I had a really great time. Like I said, my husband and I were in the pit, about 4 people back from the stage, between Chris and Guy. The guys seemed to be in great form. Chris' voice was AMAZING. I thought he sounded better than he had in San Antonio last month. I had a great view of Guy, who was swaying around a bit, but didn't do much moving besides that. I did see a couple of smiles from him, though. Will was pounding away on those drums. My husband loves playing Rock Band and he was fascinated watching Will pound away all night. Chris of course, was a crazy bundle of energy and it was really tough to get a good pic of him. He was playful during the show, talking about being attacked by the balloons during Yellow, and doing his hilarious "evil" laugh right before The Scientist. Unfortunately, I barely got to see Jonny at all, as my view of him was completely blocked. :( The setlist of course, was the same, so I couldn't believe it when Chris said, "I'm just going to change the setlist here... I'll do this song, then the other and the other..." (or something like that :P). When he launched into Trouble I nearly had a heart attack. Of course, being in the pit, I couldn't see the b-stage at all, so I had to rely on the video screens. It was gorgeous while it lasted. He forgot the lyrics, "....hmm..hmm..hmm...in my little bubble" and ended it a bit short, but I loved it. I paid particular attention to 42 and Cemeteries of London that night, as I somehow had blocked them out from the SA concert. Really stellar, both of them. Strawberry Swing was just GORGEOUS. I love the little guitar "duet" Chris and Jonny do at the end... and watching Will and Guy lead the claps at the beginning and Chris guitar hanging on his back. The crowd around me was a mixed bag... didn't seem to be too much singing or dancing going on on my side (aside from me :D) but people did seem into it. I thought the Dallas audience did a better job singing along and doing the viva chant than the audience in SA, but that might have just been where I was. As MrMan mentioned, Chris threw glow sticks out into the audience during Lost, and I thought that was a really cool touch. My husband had the better of our two cameras and took a lot of pics, so I'll be uploading those this weekend. I've done the ones I took with my camera (flikr link posted earlier in thread) and I'll post some youtube videos, too. Getting out of the venue (and getting LRLRL) was awful. They did a very poor job of organizing that, but we got it and were happy. :) All in all, a really fabulous show. Here's LIJ and Lost. Guy's bass pretty much killed the sound on these and they're nowhere near high quality and a little shaky. sorry. :D Hope you enjoy anyway! [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] I've got a few more videos I'll probably be uploading over the next couple of days or so. Jen
  18. Wow. so the pictures I took came out horribly. Makes me realize how badly I need a new camera. Here are a few... you can check out the rest of my flikr photostream, too... http://www.flickr.com/photos/92995851@N00/sets/72157621675983733/with/3750414941/ I didn't take that many... mainly focused on video. My husband had the better camera, and he got over 100 photos, so those should be good. Unfortunately, we have to wait for this weekend to upload them. I'll also try to write my review later tonight!
  19. Hey everyone!! Awesome show Tuesday night!! I'm just now home from Houston (and the show last night) and am just starting to upload pics and videos. We were in the pit, about 4 people back from the front, between Chris and Guy. Had a fantastic view of Guy and Will, Chris was a bit obscured by a tall guy in front of me, and the band's video camera. My husband and I were working with two cameras- mine cheap and crappy, his not so much. I'll be able to post my crappy pics and vids tonight or tomorrow, the others, probably not til this weekend. I'll have a review, too but here's a little something for now. This vid is of Chris' "evil" laugh and The Scientist. I apologize for the poor quality, but hopefully, you'll get the idea. It was hilarious. He also looked RIGHT AT ME during this part, but of course, my camera didn't catch that much detail :bigcry: Anyway, here's the video for now: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92995851@N00/3749912263/ I'll try to upload more tonight and tomorrow! It was a great show... Got to meet Super Angie, and I saw Allegra and MrMan (though I didn't know it was them at the time!)
  20. sorry I disappeared... I got caught up reading the "Memorable concert" stories... they're all awesome!! But, now, it's really late, my toenails are dry, and I'm actually sleepy, so I'm off to bed. :) 'night Mariana and Marisa! I'll talk to you all on Thursday!
  21. I'm still here! I made it through the crash!! I'll be here at least a little while longer. I decided it'd be a good idea to paint my toenails... so now I've got to let them dry. :\ @Mariana- Thanks! I'll post pics on Thursday when I get back! here's the one that kills me EVERY TIME :bomb::bomb::dead: EDIT: haha... didn't think it took that last post! oops! :D I'll be hanging out for a little bit longer
  22. @Mariana- Thanks! I'll post pics on Thursday when I get back! Well, everyone, I should probably go try to get some sleep... I've got a long day tomorrow! Sweet dreams, everyone!
  23. It's Erick, right? These are great photos.. I LOVE your Viva jacket! Great work!
  24. ohhh... love that airport shot, too! Hi Katie, I'm not sure if we've met... I'm Jen :nice: But back to this bit of gorgeousness for a second.... I'm usually a short haired Chris kind of girl, but wow. I love his hair here. everything about this is perfect. also love that he's wearing a bruce springsteen shirt!
  25. Oh My.... that picture is FABULOUS. All of them look amazing!!! I love seeing Chris in everyday clothes. that one picture just completely made my night!! :D I should be sleeping right now, but I'm too excited to sleep!! Just a few more hours and I'll be feet away from him!!
