So not to be stalkerish...but yes to be stalkerish, does anyone have any good ideas on how to meet the band? I can't get there super early but I thought about staying late, I just have no idea on where to wait. And maybe go to the hotel? Maybe the four seasons they'd stay at?

that was so messed up. the system of buying concert tickets really needs to change as that was pathetic. I was lucky enough to get section 117 but it seems like no floor seats were sold during this at all. gah I just wish coldplay would see this and be like oh youre all such great fans, heres row one seats reserved for your loyalty!

So what's everyone's opinion of what's better seats? Getting floor seats in presale or trying to the 100s section on the side of the stage? I'm pretty short too. :/ I've always had GA pit so I don't know how hard it is to see from about row 15-20ish on the floor (which I'm assuming presale will have).

Oh damn, thanks for telling us though. So what does everyone think is better, floor seats or 100s? I'm pretty short but I still feel like the 100s are so far away. :(

Hey americans, someone said in the other forum the american presale amex promotional code is different than the canadian one and we might have trouble? I'm still confused about the preferred seating code but I'm assuming that offers better seats than normal amex card presale. I might try calling them to figure it out but I'm also in the middle of finals week and should really be studying organic chemistry right now... :(

Normally the strip of blue right in front of the stage is the ga pit and then behind that they have assigned floor seats. That's what happened for the viva tour in toronto at least and when I saw them in buffalo. It still could change though. :/

I'd rather have it at the rogers center with a ga pit rather than assigned floor seating at the air canada centre. It's so much easier to get close to the front and see in a pit. Wasn't it on the viva tour where they switched from the ACC to rogers? Tickets go on sale monday though. :/ For the viva tour they ended up adding a buffalo date a month after I bought toronto tickets. If they do that again for this I won't be happy!

I normally don't post but I've been reading a lot of hate. So coldplay released two pop singles, isnt that what radio singles are supposed to be? Moving to mars is gorgeous but is not meant for the radio at all. I like the melody in paradise and like that there's a strong piano part but I'm also a fan of hip hop (like chris) and think heavy synths and drums are awesome when done right. Every teardrop is a waterfall sounds like a coldplay song to me even though the beginning melody is rough. The only thing I'm not happy with is the lyrics of the two songs but nonetheless it's still good music. I strongly disagree with the belief that coldplay is selling out. If the band likes hip hop, they're obviously going to have an influence of it on their own music. As a musician myself, its a lot of fun to play songs like paradise that have awesome beats, I completely see where coldplay came from in writing it. And sure the chord progression is basic but its got a heavy minor feel thats different. The melodys catchy but I still respect it as a well written melody. It's a cool song that will gain coldplay more fans and yet true coldplay fans still have the gems of moving to mars and hurts like heaven that arent standard pop at all. Music in general has taken a new direction and though years ago I never thought I would say this, I really do enjoy hip hop and electronic music and where music is headed. Even though I'm not a huge fan of rihanna mainly because of her messages like S&M, she still has a great voice, though I would have preferred a beyonce coldplay colaboration instead (damn can beyonce sing). Coldplays not selling out, theyre still making great music for their fans. And we havent even heard the freaking album yet. The new songs were amazing live and made such a great show. I don't want to sound rude but some people do sound like they're overreacting. Just try not to be like some older people who are so close minded and stuck on their classic rock music (I'm also not anti classic rock/older music, I love the genre and have even written a 30 page thesis paper on the beatles music progression) that they won't accept any song considered the genre of hip hop or rap. Good music is good music, not just a genre. Gosh it almost feels like I'm preaching to republicans about being close minded (sorry if that offended anyone). I've been a coldplay for a long time and my favorite album is normally a rush of blood to the head so don't think my opinion is from the perspective of a "new fan." Also, did anyone think that maybe coldplay made this song because they themselves liked it? Sorry for my rant.

What an amazing show. Totally worth all the traveling shit I went through (my bus on friday was delayed 6 hours so I didn't get there until Bright Eyes and 2 of my flights home on monday were cancelled so I slept overnight at the airport). Best energy I've ever seen at a concert and Coldplay fans are so much nicer than eminem and foo fighter fans. I was about 10 rows back a little to the left in front of johnny and had a great view. Hi everyone, quick question, do you think staying at the stage from a little before bright eyes till coldplay will get me a decent spot? i figure a lot of people will leave after bright eyes to go see ok go so i should be able to move up a bit. i wish i could wait all day and get front row but my friends arent down for it and theres other bands i want to see. i saw coldplay front row during the viva tour and though it was one of the best experiences of my life, i feel like i can settle for only a decent spot this time.

I hope the boys realize that secrecy or not, they're gonna have to start giving answers re: release dates, etc soon. They can't do all of these festivals and release a single without giving anyone any information.... they should just pull a beatles with let it be, play all the new songs first live record that and release it as the album. plus anyways if theyre playing 7 new songs on friday ill be practically listening to the albums live versions on youtube until the cds released. and im excited as a 15 year old girl but am definitely older than 15 :cool:
