Well, that's true, but most people who have a real passion for something are motivated to work hard enough at it to at least be decent at it. Obviously the things that require boatloads boatloads boatloads of innate talent and/or training from a very young age (professional sports, classical music performer, whatever) should be off the list, but what she's considering isn't like that so my gut feeling is that she should just do whichever interests her the most.

Well "successful" maybe but I think she is worrying more about happiness... happiness always seemed infinitely more important than success to me, once you get past basic necessities (food mostly)
  11. Memorizing it isn't that hard, though, just a bunch of scalar runs mostly. It took me longer than 20 minutes to memorize, though, I think, so good job. The left hand will probably take you at least a few weeks to get totally perfect unless you practice really religiously a lot each day. It's really fun to play once you know it, though. :nice: Lots of room for interpreting and whatnot coz it's pretty simple.
  12. Ah, okay, the official one mostly just has some slightly different chords on some parts... but really either way it is going to sound similar to the original, plus I think doing octaves instead of individual notes most of the time makes it sound a lot richer and prettier, personally. edit: massive undead bump...
  13. I know Eddie, though, that's pretty close :awesome: Postcards isn't that hard, I learned it when I was really horrible at piano, the jumps with the left hand are a bitch though.
  14. I don't know any Australian people at all. Makes me sad.

Ah, I'm the opposite way, I think high school history is insufferably boring because I know most of it and it's just basics, but I think really detailed stuff is fascinating unless it's written in one of those dry-your-eyes-out boring styles old textbooks are in. I especially like reading documents left behind by really foreign cultures, it can be really interesting. yeah Alexa is right in this case, and Josh is wrong, sorry.
  16. "space-time continuum warp" is literally what I heard a dad tell his 6-year old at the grocery store once around the start of December this year.
  17. Oh definitely. She's really nice, I like her a lot. @Crest: Pssh. All Vietnamese people are normal.
  18. Hahahaha, I know what you mean, my Japanese friend is really strange, she seems really quiet and shy at first but then you get to know her and she just goes totally weird on everybody. She uses that funny Japanese-English thing, too, you know, she uses "endure" and "nostalgic" and stuff a lot. Funny funny.
  19. What? They're fucking bags. They carry your shit so you don't have to. Actually I think most women would be perfectly fine with just pockets if it weren't for a) no womens' clothes have pockets and b) they have to carry tampons like 1/5 of their lives and c) lots of women are idiots. I don't get why anyone would spend more than like $20 on a bag anyway. It's a bag.
