I didn't pay attention to words or anything because I was too mezmerized with how beautifully they were singing this song. It was like a choir of angels. I came close to crying. I can never forget this song.

WTF does YouTube have to do with any of this? Does YouTube have photo albums? No. Can you post text updates on YouTube? No. Can you add links for everyone to see that aren't necessarily videos? Only if you post it in a comment, which isn't the same thing as posting a link like it does directly on Tumblr and Facebook. I don't get your point. You know what? I have no idea why this is even being debated. There are much more important things to discuss than the logistics of classifying user-oriented Internet sites. ... OK, well, Facebook is like a community, too, and you can just as easily "repost" things on Facebook as you can on Tumblr. Therefore, your argument is completely invalid.

The only big difference is that Facebook has apps. Let's see, what do you do on Tumblr? -Post text. Facebook does that. (e.g. status) -Post photos. Facebook does that. (e.g. photo albums) -Post quotes. Facebook does that. (e.g. status, whatever) -Post links. Facebook does that. -Chat features. Facebook does that. (Although, to be fair, Facebook Chat sucks.) -Post audio. Facebook does that. -Post video. Facebook does that. -"Follow people," which is similar to "adding people" on Facebook. OK. Now try telling me again that they're not at least somewhat alike.

Tweet him exactly that, Natt. GO.

I'm in my 6th semester of university work right now. I'm here in the same city that I've been my whole life. Unlike you, I never had a choice in going off; money has always been a struggle for us, and with my brother away for university, too, it's even more difficult. Please. If you can, get away from home. You'll experience so much that I'm missing out on. Don't be like me.

-raises hand- I've actually gotten much better about it. I don't feel nearly as strong of a compulsion to update my status so many times a day. Really, it's the apps that cause problems. I remember when I started playing FarmVille. It eats your soul. :wreck:

[ame= ] [/ame] I went to this composer conference this past weekend as a performer. I have a lot of fun memories from there. This piece was composed by a dear friend of mine (I'm actually performing in his senior composition recital this Sunday.), and one of his other pieces actually won the undergraduate division of the composition competition held at this conference. :smiley:

It's not that. I'd follow more, but I often get caught up in listening to albums that are already out. I'm sorry. :sad:

This song makes me tear up every single time. It's weird, because it's not due to memories attached to the song, nor is it due to the lyrics. (The song is about baby Jesus.) It's just that this song is crafted in such a way that it evokes so much emotion, and that power touches me in a way that makes me cry. This is a beautiful song, and Eric Whitacre is a genius.

Heyyy, a J-Gro thread! :cheesy: After hearing a couple of tracks from his Christmas album in 2007, I told my mom I had to hear more. She got me "Noël" and "Closer" for Christmas that year. (Oddly enough, I also got "Parachutes" and "X&Y," my first two Coldplay albums.) I bought "Awake" and his sel-titled shortly afterwards. My brothers bought me "Illuminations" (along with a penguin Pillow Pet) this past Christmas. :D Josh has such a gorgeous voice, and he's incredibly funny. His episode of "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" was pretty much the greatest thing ever. Also, he's incredibly adorable, much like a puppy. :dazzled:

There's quite a few songs that do this. I'm going to go with my most recent example, however. After listening to The Vaccines' debut on Friday, I fell in love with this song. Every time I put it on, it gives me a sense of great joy. [ame= ] [/ame] I couldn't find a normal version, so I suppose this live version will work.

I almost posted that. I actually showed this to a friend of mine. His reaction was priceless. :lol: BAHAHAHA, I remember when I used to like that band back when I was first getting into modern music. Don't ask me what I was thinking, because I don't know/remember. :|
