  1. Thanks. Well, for me, it's more about how I'm afraid of the things I'd end up doing if I were drunk. I don't want to find out. :uhoh: Wow. Your parents are much more chill about drinking than mine. I'm legal now, and although my mom knows she can't really stop me, she told me that A. if I do drink, she doesn't want to know about it, B. I'm not allowed to drink in her presence, and C. I'm not allowed to bring alcohol of any sort into the house. :| Hmph. Some "friends" they were. :shifty: Yeah, that's what I really like about my group of friends. I've been asked before if I wanted anything, and all I had to do was say, "No, I'm not comfortable with that," and they'd say, "OK, that's fine" and be done with it. I've never been pressured into doing anything. Even better, I was talking to this friend of mine about what we'd do, and I brought up to him how I refused to get drunk, and he was like, "Yeah, that's fine. Maybe one, and that's it. We'll take care of everything; don't worry." It's awesome, really. :wacky:
  2. ^ That's actually what one of my best friends and her boyfriend picked as "their song." When I heard about that, I thought it was super cute. :wacky:
  3. Given that: A. I live at home with my family, and B. The room our computer (a desktop) is in is right next to the high traffic areas (kitchen, living room), I have never posted on the forum naked. It'd be super weird, and if anyone walked in on me...I can't even think of the consequences. :anxious:
  4. THOSE, OMG. How did I leave those off? The first one especially is bad; I actually have recurring nightmares about the people I love dying and having to be at their funerals. :| That. I've been to three, and while I didn't know the person at one of them and was therefore unaffected (The lady was my brother's friend's grandmother), when I attended the funerals of my maternal grandmother and my uncle, I was a complete mess. It was particularly bad at my uncle's funeral because instead of being sick for a long time (like my grandmother was), he had suddenly died of a heart attack at work. OH. That reminds me. It's because of this that I also get really freaked out when people point sharp objects at me. Once, when my brothers and I were washing the dishes, they found out about this, and they thought it'd be funny to pretend to make stabbing motions at me with steak knives. I cried. :|
  5. Thank you! :wacky:  It's OK. I will say that I'm one of only a few people who have never done any underage drinking. I'm actually very proud of that accomplishment. :nice: Anyway, I haven't had anything to drink yet; however, one of my friends talked to me last night about holding a celebration for me two weekends from now or something. (We would do it this next weekend, but I'll be out of town that weekend.) I refuse to get wasted; turning 21 isn't an excuse for me to do something completely stupid.
  6. I'll let you know what I think after I listen to it. If I don't like it, I can always send it to you. Excellent choice. :awesome:
  7. Thanks, Lore. :wacky:
  8. ♦ needles (Given that I have the desire to donate blood, this isn't exactly good.) ♦ rejection (Which is weird, given how regularly I face this) ♦ being alone for the rest of my life ♦ death by drowning (because I can't swim) ♦ death by a car accident that I myself caused (Which is why even after all this time, I still don't know how to drive. Don't judge; I'm working on it. :embarrassed:)
  9. So, on top of it being my birthday today (21, WOOO :awesome:), today is my 4-year anniversary of being a Muser. :wacky: I (finally) bought my own copy of "The Resistance" to celebrate. :awesome: Ionno. I just thought I'd share.

We should probably wait for Adam to post the whole thing on his blog. Isn't he usually very good about sharing that sort of info with us?
  11. Story time. It's my birthday today. (Go me! :awesome:) I went shopping with my mom. Anyway, we had went into GameStop to pick up a used copy of "Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock." (Yeah, I know. I love those games, and they're pretty much the only video game I'm any good at. Don't judge me.) We went to check out, and the guy at the register says, "So, when this was given to us, it came with a Soundgarden CD, so we're just gonna throw this in there, too." Therefore, due to the most unusual circumstances (birthday karma?), I now own "Telephantasm" by Soundgarden. I've never really listened to Soundgarden before, so I don't know if I'll like it, but it was an unexpected (and free) gift, so it's pretty sweet either way. :awesome: Later, I made actual CD purchases. I ended up getting: ♦ "Early Works"-Taylor Hicks (Given that I had been looking for a copy of this for over two years now, I was incredibly excited to find this in Target.) ♦ "Hollywood: The Deluxe EP"-Michael Bublé AND today is also my 4-year anniversary of being a Muser, so to celebrate, after waiting approximately a year and a half, I have my very own legit physical copy of "The Resistance" by Muse.
