  1. The webstream was absolutely amazing, was in such great quality. The camerawork was awesome as well, and at some points I noticed a few new words on the piano. It seems like they've been adding more words on it as time progresses. Anyway, I was caught in the moment so I didnt think fast enough to take a screenshot of it, but I'm VERY sure that I noticed a few new lyrics that have not been mentioned before in any of the new songs we have heard so far. On the back of the piano, I noticed two new things 1. "Seed is sour" 2. "Still wont forget you" And on the left side of the piano I noticed: 1. "Once upon a" (The rest was kinda slashed out in a blue streak, but I'm pretty sure this is from Princess of China) 2. CHO - Have no idea what this is, but I saw this multiple times when the camera showed the left side of the piano in large block letters. Please don't tell me I'm the only one that saw this haha. I got so excited when I noticed new clues :laugh3:
  2. Haha how in the world did you decipher those lyrics!? I can hardly make any words out of that live version of POC, the quality isnt that great. :)
  3. Looking forward to it, I love the bassline in "Where I end and You Begin," its one of my favorite Radiohead songs. So if there are certain similarities I'm digging it. Viva La Vida or Death and All his Friends had two or three songs that ranged in that length area, (DAHF was 6:18, Yes was 7:06, Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love was 6:50) so I'm assuming this will be one of LP5's longer songs. I love it when songs build on top of each other, really pumps you up. :)
  4. With all due respect, I disagree with you 110%. -Please tell me the last time Hamas fired home-made, extremely weak rockets into Israel. These rockets, btw were utterly pointless, they did practically no damage whatsoever; so it irks me when people go crazy about them, and negate the draconian reaction the Israelis had when they killed thousands of innocent civilians in Gaza. It was prior to the Gaza massacre, and they fired rockets after Israeli soldiers broke the ceasefire on November 4th, 2008 and killed a Palestinian in Gaza. -Israel's humanitarian efforts, or lack thereof? Lets be frank, there aren't any humanitarian efforts by them. If you consider an apartheid wall, an entire blockade on gaza so it becomes a virtual prison depriving people of medical and food supplies, and attacking aid flotillas that only desire to provide them with supplies to be humanitarian, then yes, they are extremely humanitarian  -Israel is absolutely not willing to make any concessions whatsoever. Even if Obama pushes for a two state solution, Netanyahu makes adamant efforts to make sure that no progress is made. Go listen to his speech at AIPAC or with the US Congress. There are your concessions, he wont budge at all. To say the Israelis are perfectly willing to make peace is as ridiculous as saying the sky is green. If they were, they would have stopped building illegal settlements in the West bank eons ago. I can go on, but this is not the place to discuss the conflict (and I won't discuss this any further). Point being made, I think Coldplay is totally correct on the position they made. They're supporting for humanitarian reasons, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
  5. What Ruqayya said. I totally support Coldplay for this. It makes me love them even more. :)
  6. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyOzZL0tflM&NR=1]YouTube - ‪[HQ] Coldplay - Strawberry Swing (Live Roskilde Festival 2009)‬‏[/ame] Trying to wait patiently, just revisited Strawberry Swing Live; almost been two years since my first Coldplay show. :) Man, the VIVA era was great. Can't wait for this single!! Come on already!!
  7. Yeah I'm pretty confident in guessing that the single will be released on Monday. the "Heaven in sight" lyrics kinda hint that these teasers are done! Looking forward to it! Not really confident in these lyrics to be honest, hopefully when coupled with the music it'll all be fine. :)
  8. I don't think the album will be called be Monday morning. Also, Death Cab for Cutie just released a song on their new album by the same name.
  9. I cant believe I'm replying almost a week after the concert, but wow! It's a day I'm always going to want to relive. I'm definitely gonna get pit tickets during their next tour, which i hope is much sooner than the time between X and Y and Viva La Vida. Here's my review everybody :) : So i woke up at around ten o clock, going to sleep at around three because i was too freakin excited. pretty tired, i called my friend up right away, and our whole ride situations were planned the night before. We left for the Home Depot Center, blasting Coldplay on the way there. I was busy explaining to my friend about other Coldplay songs he doesnt really know about (He's a diehard Coldplay fan now :P) We got there at around 1:15ish, looking for where the lines were being held. We asked a few security guards, and like none of them knew a thing. When we got to the lines, around 30-35ish people were there. We decided to stay in line at the door second to the far right side. Both of us were second in line to a group of three women. After a few hours we heard the band during sound check, and I got super excited. We befriended two sisters that drove from San Francisco for the show, to visit family, and for a Chelsea soccer game a few days afterward. I ended up giving them a ton of info that i got from these boards. A lot of people in my line kept asking questions afterwards haha. @Mikayla - I think i remember seeing you guys walking to and from your line position during those 5 hours in line. I would have said hi, only I had no idea who was a coldplayer and who wasnt. :) Your sign was awesome, I wish i got a pick or a setlist too. Gates opened at 6:30, and I was pumped with my new Tour shirt. Prices were ridiculous in my opinion, but I figured why not, i'd get too impatient with purchasing it online and waiting a few weeks for it. The first security checkpoint took too long, they decided to wand me even though i had no metal item on me. :veryangry2: I didnt know that the numbers after the GA on our ticket meant a specific section in the pit. Thankfully we were GA 2, so they didnt tell us to go to a different area. As soon as i got in the pit i looked at the tons of people already at the center, so i decided not to go there. I kinda regret making that decision. But we ended up front row on Guy's side. I was kind of annoyed with the teenyboppers that were shrieking even before the opening acts. They were asking the security guards a bunch of lame questions like whether or not they could get to meet the band, if they would be put on the jumbotron, etc.:angry:I indirectly yelled at them to shut up. Buut of course they wanted to get closer and wanted to switch positions, and i kindly blew em off. They didnt give up and tried to get in a fight with another girl behind me by pulling her hair and whatnot. Call me a hater, but i seriously did not like Kitty Daisy and Lewis. I wasnt there for them. Amadou and Mariam were much better than Kitty Daisy and Lewis, but all of their songs sounded super repetitive, so they tired me out after their third song. Amadou was pretty incredible on the guitar, and the fact that he was blind made it even crazier. "DO YOU FEEL ALIVVEEE!?" - Amadou "Are you ok?" - Mariam. :P Finally, U2, Jay-Z (Awesome Roadie Break dancer btw), and The Blue Danube began. The Sparklers arrived, and Life In Technicolor as well. The whole concert was surreal, and I couldnt believe I was 5 feet away from my favorite band. Guy was being all cool and , but i yelled his name enough to get his attention and he gave me a smile :) During Violet Hill, my friend, whose infatuated with British culture (and is part British) kept waving his British Flag and I was screaming and jumping like crazy, so we got Chris's attention. He gave us both eye contact and a :P expression, which was pretty awesome. I think i was the only one that was jumping like crazy and singing to every song in my area. i wanted to start a Viva La vida Interlude chant, like the video's ive seen of Europe before a Coldplay Show. People started teasing, which i thought was lame. Everything was so surreal and amazing. I was angry that I didnt even get to bounce a yellow ball around. Right when they were getting close to me, a security guard would take it and throw it towards the middle of the pit >:( During Lovers in Japan, Chris came to our area and gave me a smile, and gave a few girls in my area a heart shape with his fingers. I didnt get any setlist or pick or any other souvenir besides a hundred or so butterflies that i stuffed into my pockets and my bag. Its a shame a lot of them were all crumpled, but im in the process of straightening em out. I usually never liked any previous covers of billie jean, but Coldplay's cover was wicked awesome. It only took us a few minutes to get out. I stationed my brother outside parked at the KFC donut shop area outside hehe. All in all, it was one of the best days of my life. I'm glad you all enjoyed it too. Just wish the crowd was more into it like those Europe shows. It was my first big concert, and probably the best concert I will ever attend. Los Angaleesss! Cant WAIT for another Coldplay show!!!!! :D Me in front of the stage. Our view was a little closer, but ultimately from there.
  10. we CAN take cameras in though right? we keep getting no's when we call. but i know we're gonna be able to take em. (seeing a ton of people in the pit take cameras)
  11. You and I both buddy! SOOOO FREAKIN EXCITED!! you have no idea! i cant sleep! :D gonna be awesome!! i'm probably gonna get there by 12:30-1:00 for the pit line. cant wait to jump in unison with everyone for that O-o-O-O-o chant during viva la vida!
  12. you think that if we got there by 1pm for the pit line, that we would be one of the first fifty people? First fifty would be really close to the stage right?
  13. Hi guys, as you can see, my name is Zj23 I'm only 17 and going with my other friend to this concert. We first had berm seats, and decided to sell them on StubHub, hoping to get better seats for the Irvine show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. But miraculously enough we got a pretty decent profit from that, and decided to just do it and we got GA Pit tickets from stubhub as well for this show. They were e-tickets for GA2, and the seat is all numbered with row number and everything. does that mean that we arent in the pit!? and is there a chance that the seller would just use the same seats so that our tickets would be invalid? im concerned about that. i've been avidly reading this thread as a guest since mid February, when talks for Pre sale tickets were starting. I was super bummed out in November that I missed their show at the Honda Center in Anaheim, so i jumped upon the chance to go to this one. I do have some questions though. 1. Seeing this is a concert with more than twenty thousand attending in a city rather close to Compton, which mind you that is pretty freakin unsafe, my friend and i were worrying if two minor kids would be in danger of any sorts. i know this may sound super wimpy of us, but we do need to take proper precautions, both of us have never been to a big concert, and alone at that, and in the pit. 2. Are there any mosh pits? and how rowdy can the pit get at a coldplay concert? This question is more for my friend who is kinda super worried about this. I think since its a coldplay is a band that doesnt resort to unnecessary screaming in their songs and is quite a soft band, that mosh pits and interactions with drunk idiots wont happen. can anyone reassure us? like all of you, i'm dying to get in front at this concert. my friend hasnt listened to much of coldplay, and i pushed him to go with me so that he becomes a die hard fan like me and all of you! 3. Unfortunately my friend and i wont be able to get there before ten am. we live about fourtyfive minutes away from carson, and neither of us can drive. Is it possible that we can still get in the front? possibly keeping in contact with other friendly coldplayers? :) 4. when do you think this concert would be over? 5. can we take backpacks with us to the pit to bring snacks and whatever/possibly hold glow sticks, and a tour shirt that i want to buy. 6. since were in the ga pit, and we will have to get there rather early to stay in line, do you think it would be impossible to get out of line and get band merchandise, like a tour shirt or something of the sorts? 7. what do you guys think of the opening acts? i tried to tolerate them on youtube, and i failed to say the least haha. I really hope i didnt bother any of you guys with this essay. this is about all ive been wanting to say since feb, just havent really had the guts or was just too lazy :P Thanks a ton if you do answer my questions! I will be asking around if anyone is a coldplayer, and would love to stick around with the coldplayer message board posse! Zj23
