I was gonna suggest a slow period for the forum but "Currently Active Users: 1335 (213 members and 1122 guests)" So where the hell is everyone :huh: Stop lurking because other people are lurking that's dumb

On the other side of the extreme, there are dumb "Jewish Studies 23" or "Art History 163" teachers who think their subject is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU WILL EVER LEARN and make the course full of reading 3 textbooks and material online, tests every week, cramming every detail that could be possibly read into the final, etc. No I'm not making this up, well not entirely. It's even dumber at a community college, because almost everyone there has a kid or a job or two jobs and they don't have time to focus on some insane teacher who thinks "The evolution of clay scuplting in the 19th century" will change their lives when everyone is just taking it for the general education requirements. /rant

Yes, there's a reason why that bothered me, Reilly summed it up very nicely: Obviously she is aware that this forum is not a substitution for therapy, she just wants a few words of encouragement to get out of her guilty/lost way of thinking and start thinking about her problems and how she can resolve them. I sometimes go on MSN and talk to my Coldplaying friends about something that's on my mind, and just the fact that I'm expressing my feelings to someone who I don't know, who I don't have to deal with, who might give me a reply as simple as "aww :hug:" can snap me out of that way of thinking. Okay. My advice was pretty straightforward though, 'talk to your parents about how you're feeling' 'stay away from the bullies' What's wrong with that? It's rather generic advice that most people can agree on. Do you disagree? Really? I used to be scared of you when I first joined the forum, you and other 20-somethings on the forum would sort of 'gang up' and acted like you owned the place. I didn't realize I was the mean one now. That's rather terrifying if I am, I don't want that to happen. Of course! I agree that it gets better and that it won't matter to her when she gets older. But that wasn't my point, you see. Now that I see your perspective I apologize for going at you, I hope you're not mad at me, but you don't need to be so blunt. She just wanted some support, or 'blind sympathy' as someone called it, we all need that sometimes :)
