Taking my guitar camping
I guess I'll just bring my harmonica ( once I learn to play ) . I have a feeling, in those rickety canvas tents, that don't even have a zipper, the wood would get warped. And some kids would steal it, then hang it in a tree, like my friend did to my shovel once. It would just get warped in the car. I'd rather spend a week without my guitar than come home with a dirty, misshapen bug filled guitar, even though music is my coffee. It's also better than everybody shouting "STAIRWAY" or "FREEBIRD." I don't expect that people would shout "YELLOW" or "SCIENTIST" :P As for the safe building, I'm not sure if they would let me keep it in the main office, then pick it up at night, and drop it off in the morning or something. Keeping it with me overnight is an issue, because I don't plan to sleep in a tent, I'll jsut keep my stuff in one. I'll be in a hammock next to one. I should email the camp.

Taking my guitar camping
Hey everyone. I am going camping in Wisconsin for a week in July. There will be 300 other teenage boys ( Boy Scouts ) , and I am thinking of taking my new Walden D550E with me to camp. However, I am afraid to leave it in my tent all day, because it could get stolen or damaged, but I'm afraid of leaving it in the car, because the heat could damage it. Any suggestions?

Acoustic Set
All of this should keep us busy. Of course, we have to be prepared for requests, by learning to play a number of overplayed '70s hits. That means we should learn freebird, and the first few notes of stairway, unless there's a "No Satirway to Heaven" sign, like in Wayne's World. I'll have to put together setlists of about five songs for each time we perform. Beatles songs could be a good addition Also Lost In My Place Get Back We should call our version of Lost "Lost?+@-!" That makes it sound like we're swearing :P

Acoustic Set
I'm starting a band. I'm gonna sing and do rhythm guitar. I have a friend who will do lead guitar. We are gonna start out doing acoustic covers ( and hopefully originals ) while street performing. Any suggestions for a set from bands like Coldplay, Snow Patrol, U2, and Radiohead. We plan to start as a coldplay tibute, so I'm trying to make the set Coldplay oriented. I might have to censor some songs, because of a local ban on public profanity. I already have some thought up ( not in order ) Don't Panic Shut Your Eyes The Scientist Creep Chasing Cars Fix You Life in Technicolor ( i and ii ) Yellow Shiver

Buying a guitar
I already play electric. I hooked my uncle's nylon classical guitar up to my spectra 30-7, with a pod preamp on a VanHalen preset.

Buying a guitar
Yeah, I went to the store, and tried a Walden D550E with a fishman pick-up. It was $349. I'm probably gonna buy it.

Buying a guitar
Hello everyone. I need to buy an acoustic six string for a guitar class I am taking in school. I know I want an acoustic/electric. Should I get steel or nylon strings ( which is best for rhythm guitar ) ? I plan to later do rhythm guitar in a band. We will probably draw influences from bands like Coldplay, Radiohead, U2, and Snow Patrol. I already own a fender squier, and have tried out my uncles nylon string guitar, so I'm pretty sure I want a steel string, but I'm just trying to make sure.

Yeah, and aren't those glass balls enough during Lost :P , so you won't need a drug trip. Well, that taught me not to smoke pot, ever. It smelled awful.

I had a great time. I was in section G, but I got to go in the aisle which turned into a giant pit around the side stage. I got within 50 feet of them, It was awesome. Snow Patrol was great, of course. I smelled someone smoking marijuana during Lost!, and there was a pregnant person nearby, so I was concerned. Also, this tall guy with a huge head was blocking my view.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
When they were talking about Chris Brown beating on Rihanna after the Grammys, I kept thinking they were about to say Chris Martin beat on Gwyneth Paltrow. I wonder why he would be her, if he did? I DID NOT WANT TO NAME THAT CHILD APPLE!
