  3. lol^ you had me thur for a minute Its been such a bitch trying to get my license. Which is annoying because unlike most of my friends with a license and no car... I have the car... just, ...no license yet. My permit expired a few days ago. Im retaking the written test tomorrow then after that I have to set up an appointment for the driving test. (3rd try) :blank: ....and Im not going to get an appointment slot till December 28th at the earliest. So.... fuck my life.
  4. I have car insurance to save for. So this year everyone is getting potted plants or a callendar or some makeup/ perfume from the 99 cent store.
  5. The phase where I didnt talk at school..... at all.
  6. "After wife GWYNETH PALTROW recently nailed her Glee and Country Music Awards gigs, maybe he should get her involved?" What IDIOT said that? Honestly.... if that happens they might as well quit now and make a public anouncement that everything they have ever done now means nothing whatsoever.
  7. I partially agree. ...but at the same time not. I think a more stripped down acoustic, simple album will be a welcomed breath of fresh air after the commercial onslaught of Viva. But at the same time I would like to see songs that take a few listens to "get" because I quite enjoy songs that take a while for you to work out the meaning. Its nice to sometimes have to really think about a songs meaning to understand it.... I like the challenge, and when done correctly it gives the track a sort of integrity. White Shadows was a great example of this methinks. I also see no reason why they cant have all of the above. A more stripped down album with some lighthearted songs but also some deeper tracks as well. And an experimental sound doesnt neccisarily guarantee a good album, ..Viva proves that. I'd rather they be less experimental and have songs with more heart to them than experiment more with their sound at the cost of the quality of the songs.
  8. I don't see how this is a public slanging match or how it would ever possibly warrant shutting down the board.
  9. This is not a vendetta by any means. You may feel that enough has been said but if someone else doesnt they have every right to post further. Especially when It concerns the privacy of the band The reputation of Coldplaying Members The way Coldplay perceives their fanbase. and anything else I forgot to mention because its 3:41 and i should be asleep. Oh, and... that! l v
  10. Because this is TOTALLY going to stop lunatics form going there and being lunatics. Not. And I believe Mark was referring to it drawing more attention if Coldplay HQ said/did something not Ian. Because it wouldnt be much of a fuss at all for Ian to just take out those posts that say their exact location.
  11. Coke is fantastic buuuutttt Code Red Mountain Dew is the absolute best Even if the soda goes flat... it is still drinkable just tastes like fruit punch. which is nice.
  12. OR Someone could read the title of the thread and go to page 14 where it is stated for that page and the next. ...Durrr. And like someone else said. Its more stupid people and non-fans Im concerned about. Because why would People from Gossip sites be lurking in a Coldplay Forum (although I supose the obvious answer is ....for gossip) so I guess even that is plausible although Asshats knowing their where abouts is the main concern.
  13. Who knows. Still I think maybe we should remove the post stating their exact whereabouts.
  14. I dont. Music Journalists ALWAYS kiss Radiohead's ass.
  15. ViVA Child replied to cleeson7's topic in Coldplay
I think a big majority of artists no a days focuss waayyy too much on their "stlye" and not enough on the music its self. Ive noticed this a lot lately. Its becoming more and more about outward appearance and what their selling and less about the quality of the songs. They try and make the whole album/attire/sound of the album into one thing and... thats just such a gimmick to me. Stop dressing like Sgt. Peppers and focus on making good music. Stop dressing like a sleazy attention whore and try writing something decent that isnt catchy crap. Put your boobs back in your shirt because your supposed to be a singer not a whore and at the end of the day Im listening to whats on the album not looking at your bra that spouts fire. I dont care what you look like because at the end of the day Im hearing your album and not seeing your glitter covered/spandex'd/Sgt. Peppers/tight pants and leather jacket covered body. Bottom Line. I hope Coldplay keep the clothing simple and put the effort into the music and not the costumes this time. ALTHOUGH The good thing about the Viva Outfits is theyre much more recognizable when drawing them. As soon as I draw that Jacket everyone knows its coldplay..... which is kinda nice.
  16. I know. Im surprised no gossip/news sites haven't gotten this info and blurted it out. When it was 1st announced I thought for sure that there would be all sorts of shenanigans outside their door. I dont think the whole thread should be removed.... maybe just take out the posts giving away its location.
  17. I dont think they should be compared to A-Ha because as far as the US is concerned... A-Ha is that one band with that Take On Me Song from the eighties. Coldplay have had a hit in the US with Every CD theyve released. Even if this were not the case. Coldplay is NOTHING like A-Ha so no Coldplay are not the A-ha of this generation they arent Radiohead Lite They arent "The Next U2 of our generation" They arent "the next Beatles" Coldplay is the Coldplay of our generation, no one else. FIN.
  18. I'm glad he set the bar that high because if Coldplay thought they had done what they came to do and were at the very best they could be then they would probably..... you know.... stop. :disappointed: :blank: So in that respect.... let them set their sights on the impossible. It only means theyre going to keep trying to get better and better and making more albums.... which is good news for me. Im relieved because... although I found coldplay at the beginning of their careers (2001) I had no computer until 2005 hardly any TV or Radio and Couldn't go to their concerts thats for damn sure (this part hurts the worst) So I couldnt really ... immerse myself in the world of Coldplay like I can now. My knowledge of them was limited to whatever bits I heard on the radio or TV and the CD's they released. So its good to know that.... despite having missed out on so much... there's still ways to go so I can sort of make up for lost time.... sort of.
