They haven't compromised who they are as musicians and as people and that's what matters. Just because they reached more popularity and, well, just because now they are considered pop doesn't make them conformed to cultural standards.

I guess boldness and lack of conformity is something people are having a hard time understanding. Also, why start this thread now? You only realized now you were disappointed with the direction they are going.... Again, I am just giving my humble opinion.

I just love the way people treat each other in here.

I think people who are criticizing them are the ones who are taking things too seriously. I respect you are not happy to say the least with this "change" in Coldplay I like to call "development". I am VERY glad they are not doing the same thing they did 10 years ago. I hope they "change" again and do something completely different from what we heard before. Otherwise, they are just a copy of themselves. And, in the words of Bono, if they saw this whole argument, I think they would say "Am I bugging you?"
