It seems like you are looking for a particular answer... What do you want people to say? Just wondering :P I think those positive threads started to come up, because at first there was plenty of negative ones where people were posting their opinions, people made them to balance it out :P

I know that, I just wanted to clarify that my post in response to yours was not to start a dispute. Oh Ok. I guess because coldplay is a band they have loved and followed for years, they feel should try out their new stuff. I guess I don't see the issue with trying to like something, I think that becomes a problem, when they lie to themselves and pretend to love their new music. If they tried, to like their new music, and they indeed truly ended up loving it, I don't see what's wrong. I guess its also an issue when they keep trying and trying and don't know when to admit they don't like it. People's personalities are different, so some people think they gotta love it right away, and others think that its ok to try to give certain music a second chance and open up your mind. Cuz maybe you'll learn something new, maybe you learn to like a new style. And learning to like something is not a bad thing :)

Well, if they want to like the song, I personally don't care, that's their business. But I thought of it that they were giving it a chance. I haven't read someone say "I gotta love this I gotta love this cuz its coldplay" I've read people saying they don't like it but they will listen to it again and see if they like it. I see that as giving itanother shot. Also don't quite understand what you meant about cut off point. Do you mean we should forget our previous experiences with coldplay albums and treat this as a completely new thing and ignore its from coldplay? If that was the case I would have loved paradise right away, I wouldn't have been so critical lol. But anyways I don't know if you meant something else... Just to clarify im not trying to start another dispute with you, and I have never wanted to. Im completely over all that crap. Just answered to understand the point of view of some people...

I don't understand why its such a big deal if they are trying to give it a chance then why not? But the reason I did it was because from personal experience, there have been coldplay songs that I did not like right away. I needed to give them a second chance. Basically I did not like most of VLV(album) at first, then I loved it. That's one example. So with Paradise I knew I needed to give it a second chance. Its not that I was making myself love it. I was just remembering that there may be, a chance that I would like it, later.well I never hated it I was just not crazy about it. And I was in a mind set where I didn't wwant to hear something different, and I was agaainst all this poppy style, I still kinda am, but im realising I want to hear what coldplay does with it :) Anyways that's the way I see it :)

I don't see what's hilarious about it :P, I think it makes sense. Why would you listen to a song over and over again if you don't like it? Its good to give things a break, not just music, so you can perhaps have a different and fresh perspective on things Wether its coldplay song or not, its good to listen to music with an open mind!, otherwise you could end up just keeping yourself in a box and not experiment different music. I think its a good excercise to do and it helps you discover new music :) Anyways guys, if you don't like paradise then don't like it, or don't feel forced to lol. Maybe it will happen naturally...maybe not. You can just skip it anyway, plus there's still the rest of the album to discover! :D

Maybe you should give it a break? :) I did that, I was trying to ignore its existence :lol: then I heard it today and I liked it. I find that when you force yourself to like it, the more you wont like it. Try to hear it with an open mind. I also like that part, oh and you don't like jonny's part towards the end? I think its great :D Haha yesterday, I did not see myself defending paradise at all, and today I am :P

Yes it grew on me, I really like it now! :D I gave it a break I only heard it 3 times the day it came out, then I heard it today while in my art class, and thought hey, I really like this! I didn't completely hate it at first, but I wasn't happy with it either, now that I like it, im looking forward to the video, and Mylo Xyloto :D

Well I didn't know there would be stencils and stickers too! So iI was happy when i found out. Im so happy! :D Haha I woke up on the 12th at 4:40am and I checked and it was available to pre-order so I ran downstairs and got my debit card and...bought it! It was so exciting, and great way to wake up :P im broke now though :lol: This year I've spent like $1,230 on coldplay craaazyness! But it was the best $1,230 I've ever spent :D

Yea me too, with such a negative responses it makes it hard to be excited for MX. I wasn't crazy about paradise but, it kinda grew on me :) and I like having these positive threads to let us be excited :D im also confident in them, that's what clicked for me last night. I was like, wait, this is coldplay, they are smart guys, they know what they are doing. I should trust them, they have not given me a reason not to :) yea ill forgive them for the rihhanna thing, though im not happy about it. Maybe ill love the song, so ill just wait and see :D haha a song by her just started playing on my radio :lol: Haha I hope not :P let's just continue forward with the positivity :) Yay im excited, and I have a good feeling that this album will be surprising and amazing :D

So im tired of feeling down, just cuz of ONE song. I love ETIAW, and though paradise is not my favorite ...I do kind of like it...well im unsure at the moment :\ I wanna be happy and excited for the album. I love coldplay, they have not disappointed me yet. They know what they are doing, I should trust them :D besides, its not like I love every single song on X&Y (and that's my second favorite album) so I guess for MX, Paradise could be my least favorite of the album. And maybe ill come to appreciate paradise later on...who knows :) I wanna hear the other songs that I may love! So right now, im still very happy and excited for a new coldplay album! :D

hey a similar thing happened to me! i was a kid too and was oblivious to the fact that the band that played "yellow" was the same band from the song "clocks" and "in my place" then i saw "the scientist" video and i realised i was a fan of a band called Coldplay :D

wish I had been able to attend an amazing AROBTTH concert! my parents lied to me, telling me they would take me, but never did :( and then i wish my child brain would have been able to fully comprehend the depth and beauty of that album. If i had gone to their concert, i wonder if i would have really understood the epicness of it all, and how beautiful that era was :heart: definitely my favorite era of all time! it is their masterpiece and its perfection in my eyes :D

listening to the "new coldplay" made me go back and listen to the "old coldplay" it was very enjoyable! so easy to love, as easy as breathing air :heart: i listened to Brothers and sisters EP. Parachutes prospekt's march (not so old coldplay :P) I ran away bigger stronger now listening to In my place :D :heart: ah love their music so much. im not a hater of the new coldplay, but i just needed a break from all of it, and was comforted by the classic stuff. (BTW i do this for every release of a new CP album, I think it's good to go back and remember the reason you fell in love with the band )

I know, I was sad too, when I saw her comment. I felt like when someone asks if their outfit looks good, and you wanna say the truth that it doesn't look good, but without hurting their feelings. And then you end up saying the truth, and they feel sad and you feel like crap. I still feel bad :\ ...

If paradise was not a single, maybe it would have just been the "a whisper" of MX, not saying a whisper is bad though :P . and we could just skip paradise on the album if we don't like it. It just sucks, cuz charlie brown would have represented MX better I think and I would have loved hearing it get played on the radio.

I want it now, but as long as I hear the album in time. Im ok with waiting (I have no choice :P) I want to hear the entire album now, and finally see if this will be my least favorite album, or if I will love it! Im sure ill still enjoy it either way though :D

That's true, there has been a lot of negative reactions. What kind of reaction did the other albums have when they got released? What I love most about MX era, was the festivals! I loved the setlist they had for them. It had a good balance of old and new songs. It was an awesome experience to have been a part of. I also love: major minus charlie brown hurts like heaven ETIAW The grafitti concept Oh yes, I also love the special edition package of the album. Comes with many cool things. A pop up album!

I agree, I love everything after jonny comes in :) I think we could have used more buckland in this song :P

I felt the negativity more when people were criticizing ETIAW, I think that affected my opinion on it, I didn't like it at first, now I love it. But with Paradise I decided to not read comments until I made my own opinion. I really do like the song :) eventhough I kind of agree with the others in some aspects :\ Anyways being positive here... this song is stuck in my head, I really like the chorus. Wish there was more jonny in it though :P
