So many people have already written about the album so much better than I could ever. But I came here to say that I can't get over my emotional response to the livestream performance. It was my first time listening to the whole album since I refrained from listening to the leaks. I think seeing them get ready/do the huddle already had me emotional because I missed them, so when Sunrise began along with the beautiful cinematography I started crying so hard. Sunrise was so beautiful and seeing Chris there kneeling, and the rest of the band, ugh the visuals were so stunning. When Church started, again tears, and sobs. Basically through most of the stream I was crying for both Sunrise and Sunset. Just thinking about having people all around the world tuning in to see the performance in that location was beautiful. Think about the power of music on humanity. Something about this era has just struck me in such a way that I had not felt since AROBTTH (my favorite album). It's a raw, intimate, honest collection of songs and every song on Everyday Life has just taken me by surprise and I just LOVE them all so much. Currently really into: Sunrise into Church Trouble in Town Cry, Cry,Cry Arabesque Bani Adam

This is the most excited and obsessed I've been with new Coldplay music since I don't know when honestly. It's so refreshingly different and I literally can't get enough. I think I heard Arabesque 5 times back to back on my commute home. lol. I also love Orphans and I keep loving it more each time as well. I was excited about AOAL and I heard it on repeat when it was released. But this just keeps feeling so epic. I think I wrote in this thread already but just keep thinking about these new songs. Now I'm just a bit upset that Everyday Life seems like it won't get a full tour. I NEED Arabesque live!!

I have this song on repeat! I vividly remember my first time hearing clocks and Politik and how I got goosebumps. I had not felt that deep emotional impact in a while. I mean there's so many songs I deeply love but to me almost nothing could compare to AROBTTH songs, but Arabesque? It's completely blown me away. I've got goosebumps and it's now one of my all time favorite coldplay songs! Omg that build up! And I love Chris cursing in the background ha!

I went into this feeling excited yet anxious. What if I didn't like the new songs? But as soon as the first few seconds of Orphans played, I knew I loved it. Immediately loved the bass and then the chorus. It felt so different and refreshing from the recent sound of AHFOD but had the essence of Coldplay that I love. After the first Orphans I was elated and couldn't believe I was about to hear yet another one! And boy was I not ready for Arabesque! Again, as soon as the first few notes, I was so BLOWN AWAY. I've been dying for Coldplay to have a more rock/strong sound from X&Y, VLV or like GPASUYF. Immediately I felt so happy that it sounded like it was headed in that direction. But with the saxophone and everything else, it was even more than what I could have ever expected! I didn't feel like the saxophone solo part was long at all. I was so immersed in the experience, I just didn't want it to end. Then that part in the 5min mark which is like the climax after the build-up of the saxophone, I almost couldn't take it. Freaking killed me, so incredible. I can't put into words how it makes me feel exactly but I felt the emotional impact of the song in a similar way to Politik's instrumental part. I didn't think that I could feel this way about new Coldplay songs, simply because AROBTTH is my favorite album, but this is up on that level for me now. I never want to forget how I felt the first time hearing both of these songs. Now I'm so excited for the rest of this album, I feel like it's going to be epic if we have these songs setting the bar. I can't wait to hear this live in concert!! I just wish Coldplay would know how much I love these new songs. Thank you so much boys. I love you. One of the best decision of my life was to have purchased AROBTTH at 12 years old and became an official fan :heart:

I'm enjoying the song, and I've been having fun trying to follow along with this crazy adventure! My only concern is how much longer we will have to wait for a Coldplay album and tour if they spend a lot of time with this. But also, maybe time will fly by getting distracted by this new project. But also eager for Coldplay to come back with a proper album. :) Either way, I'm having fun at the moment and excited to see what else happens. I think this will be great for them to explore sounds and styles and that in turn will help them figure out what kind of album they want to make next.

It feels like I had been in hibernation until AHFOD film came out, and now I'm back to my full on Coldplayer mode again. So I wanted to watch Live 2012, I go and find it. Only to see that it's not in its case! So now I have to clean up my entire house and hope to find it :sob: Also, I can't find my Ghost Stories CD. So basically I don't take care of my stuff and I purchased Ghost Stories again. Hope I learn my lesson! Wish me luck on finding my Live 2012 disc.

Wow, it's been forever since I was last on Coldplaying! I've missed it!

I hope someone uploads the video of Coldplay covering Music Ligera so I can download it!!! :sob::sob::sob::heart::heart::heart: They were so incredible! It was such a beautiful incredible surprise. I am still so excited about it and I was not even there!!!! I love that song and just can't believe they covered it and that crowd was so EPIC!

I still miss the Coldplay puppets.

Yellow, and I knew it was by Coldplay thanks to my sister. But really became a big fan after hearing Clocks and In My Place. Memories are becoming a little fuzzy about the order of which songs I heard first because I was 10 when Parachutes came out. Whatever the order, I'm so happy I became I fan. I basically grew up and was raised by Coldplay music :)

I was waiting for them to do a cover, and I am so glad they did. Definitely brings up the pain again! :'( When I was in my obsession for both LP and Coldplay I wondered if my two favorite bands knew each other and wished they were friends. Seeing that Mike saw this cover and liked it is heartbreaking, because of the reason why it happened :broken_heart:

In middle school I was obsessed with both Linkin Park and Coldplay equally. The only two CDs I carried were AROBTH and Hybrid theory. I had a hard time in middle school and turned to music to make sense of my feelings. I have so many memories of enjoying linkin park and feeling stronger inside by listening to their music. I first bought converse shoes because I saw Chester wearing them and I wanted to be cool like him. I started to become more of a coldplay fan after minutes to midnight but I always considered myself an LP fan. When I first heard the news I couldn't believe it. I thought it would be a stupid hoax. But then saw it wasn't and I just went numb. I didn't want to feel anything because I was at work so I just put it in the back of my head until I drove home. Then when the radio was playing all linkin park, it hit me. I've been heart broken since then, and I keep wishing it wasn't true. I really feel pain and sadness for this loss. I never realized what he was going through, so I was shocked by this. I've cried many times and still do when I think about the fact that he's gone. I also feel anger and guilt because I didn't appreciate them like I should have before this. Why did this happen for me to go back to their music?? I was planning to see them in concert later this year, even if I hadn't followed them closely these past years I was excited to see them for the first time. Now I'll never get the chance. At least not with chester. I think other people here have expressed themselves more clearly, but I think I needed a place to just let out what's been in my head this past week. I'm just listening to nothing but linkin park and feeling so sad :(

All I Can Think About Is You, in love with it at the moment. It sounds like the old coldplay and new coldplay together. Not a big fan of most of the songs from this era, but this song, omg is so great!! :) Love everything about it!

I think I know what you are talking about. Well the t-shirt I'm thinking of, was light blue and I think, like you mentioned, they used a butterfly from like Viva La Vida tour era. As I remember it in my mind, it was pretty simple just said coldplaying on the front with that butterfly. I actually kept thinking about that shirt, and how cool it would be to still get one to meet other coldplaying members. I wish I new where to find it, but it's really far back around that viva era. :/ Also, it's my first time back in REALLY long time! I always keep Coldplaying in mind, but I just don't seem to have the time like I used to when I was younger. I first joined this forum when I was in my late teens and now i'm in my late twenties (omg, just realizing this.) Ok, I feel old now, lol. But the forum is looking great! I like all the visual improvements :) My coldplayversary will be in July 13, my first coldplay concert back in 2009!!!

A year ago I was living an adventure of a lifetime participating in the Halftime show with the boys! I wish I was there again :sob:

So I managed to get tickets to see Coldplay in October! I put it on my credit card :( but whatever, gonna try to stay positive about things and soon will get a job! I got not so good seats but improved section from last time. I wish ticket prices were more affordable but also in a smaller venue!! Missing the old tours now...

I can relate, because I'm a shy and nervous person too! But you're right, everything's not lost! Good luck to you on the next time you apply for that scholarship:) So cool! Motion graphics was challenging for me to do so I love print design a lot. But also interested in user experience! Good luck to you in grad school and finding freelance, it's something I should do too but need to find out to get started in freelancing
