Music You've Just "Discovered"
My friend put on a Pure Reason Revolution DVD and I swear I've heard the song Deus Ex Machina somewhere before ... anyhow, I really, really like what I've heard so far. :)

WHAT. :disappointed:

Porcupine Tree
http://www.swhq.co.uk/other.cfm The Cover Version Series is a series of single CDs with one surprise cover song, and one original Steven Wilson song. Not sure. There's a lot of speculation on what show would be used for a DVD.

Also for those interested in solo stuff, Steven Wilson will be releasing the sixth and final cover version disc soon. This one will come with a limited edition box to store the other five in with it.

Porcupine Tree
My vote's Colin. He stands there grinning like he knows something we don't. :laugh3: Then again, Steven Wilson's prolific work output earns him robot status which also isn't human. XD

Porcupine Tree
I would recommend Up The Downstair over TSMS. The songs are a lot shorter and easier to take in for some people. (Of course I'm not one of those folks. Long live Anesthetize. ) Not to mention Synesthesia and Fadeaway are some must hear tracks!

Liam Gallagher and the Rest of Oasis Form New Band, Minus Noel
Lame. I wasn't fond of Oasis anyhow but I think this is a sign that Liam just needs to hang it up already.

U2
Interesting! I think I'll have to pick one up. TUF is my favourite U2 album. I started to become hesitant about the remasters after the only noticeable difference (to me) re: The Joshua Tree was it was a bit louder and slightly more crisp (although I love the deluxe set of it. The book is very lovely and I adore the live DVD too.). The deluxe box I got with the first three albums is one I really wish I hadn't bought. I like the extras but the remastering doesn't really seem all that great and I think I could have put my money to better use.

Sigur Rós
Okay so ... I've heard about them for a long time, but for some reason it took me a while to check them out. Love at first listen. Like ... wow. Takk is amazing. :shocked2:

If you like the direction those are in, I would say go for In Absentia. If you want something new, I'll say either Stupid Dream or Lightbulb Sun. Both of those are more in the pop/rock direction.
