It's totally ridiculous, we should be allowed to wear one. Ireland had a rising against Britan during the time of WWI. The poppy is so related to the british and that time that people here think it's wrong for the irish to be part of remembrance day.

It's not a public holiday here and wearing the poppy is frowned upon. Even though nearly 50,000 Irish soldiers were killed in action in World War I.
