I think it's cool to learn another language. I learn Irish and german in school, annoyingly I'm not very good at them. German I started when I was 13 and I'm okay at it. And irish is compulsory here from the age of 5/6...I'm still pretty shit at it, I would be confident enough to have a proper conversation at all. Most people are that way too and forget most of it in a couple of years.

They've started giving out organ donor cards in school, this thread just reminded me that I need to get one.

I've never donated blood cause they haven't been around since I have turned 18 but I want to :wacko: I think it is wrong that homosexual people are not allowed donate. But there must be a big fear with getting blood and they have to be super careful. Even if that does come across as ignorant. We were just learning today about how back in the 80's ( before AIDS was discovered ) blood used to be sent over here and people died cause it was contaminated with AIDS and other dieseses.

One of the things we have to study is relationships and our english teacher was so awkward talking about it :lol: He was like, "We're going to take it as the more innocent close friendship NOT THAT I THINK HOMOSEXUALITY ISN'T INNOCENT! but this would be easier to do and wouldn't be too complex, but i have nothing against homosexuals..." just rambling on so awkwardly :lol:

Our english teacher gave us pomegranate once cause we were studying a poem called Pomegranate. He had no idea how to prepare it either.

I love pomegranates:heart: but people have always given them to me already prepared :lol: You cut them in half and whack the back of it with a wooden spoon over a bowl so the pip thingys fall in to it. And then you cut it and whack it again if needed. Then you eat them, not the yellow part? :uhoh: I have never eaten that.

We have a shit canteen here, well they call it a canteen but it's not really one. There are vending machines. People from the deli come over too to take orders for sandwiches and rolls in the morning break and hand the food out at lunch time. Luckily I can leave for lunch cause I'm in the most senior year :wacko: ...but there still isn't the biggest food selection out in the shop and deli.
