  1. dear chris, happy bithday!!!thank you for filling my life with your songs, your voice and your smiles. Hope you're having a great day and I'm sure you'll have even a greater gig tonight. Keep rocking on!:)
  2. wow thanks everyone for the great videos!I really appreciate your effort because at concerts I'm usually so focused I want to enjoy every single second of it, and almost never bother taking videos or pictures! I love the in my place video, it seems like Chris is chasing Jonny at one point :laugh3: and Guy getting closer to will because he's just so alone in the middle:lol: gise_honey, qué videos tan bonitos, gracias!tb cuando yo fui al concierto sacaron a una chica durante lovers y yo quería morirme, sé que no está bien pero solo esperaba que se la llevaran rápido para no perderme el show:)
  3. wow, shiver!!lucky crowd!;) it seems like a great show, thanks everyone for pics-some are amazing!!-and videos and for sharing your experiences...
  4. thank you so much, Goodfeather. Everyone looked soooo into this song, especially Jonny!I absolutely loved the end..
  5. first of all, I hope that all the chilean coldplayers and families are safe and sound...I am so sad about the eathquake, it's terrible. in second place, thanks for all the videos and news and pics, it's great to see the boys back!Unfortunately, "Don Quixote" is no more avaliable on you tube, anyone know where I can find it?I am really curious, and I have been wondering about a song inspired by this book since Chris said in the Boombox interview that he's reading it at the moment ...
  6. the other day I was out with a guy I sort of fancy, we were in a cafe and suddenly "the hardest part" started playing!at the very first note I just stopped and put on my "coldplay's playing" face ;) and he asked me "what's going on??" and I told him that was Coldplay (I have already told him I love them), and he told me not to say the name of the song because he wanted to guess it....he got it right :D he said he's no big fan of them but his mom is so he knows some songs...he started guessing for my fave song and named "uncommon" ones for a non-fan (such as 42, green eyes....) , and also told me he really likes "the scientist" because it's so sweet, on the piano...I couldn't agree more :)
  7. amazing, thanks for posting it! it's really fun, and plus has footage from Barcelona  I'm about to cry!
  8. your story is really dramatic, yet beautiful. I really hope you can make it to the boys. As soon as possible I will join your initiative so the little car can visit Rome, too!;)

I always connect Yellow to these 2 lines of a poem by Neruda... In nude you are as bare as one of your hands smooth, earthly, small, round, transparent with lines of moon and paths of an apple, in nude you’re slender like a naked stem of wheat. In nude you look blue like the Cuban night with stars and vines in your hair, in nude you are whole and yellow like summer in a church of gold. In nude you look tiny like one of your finger nails curvy, subtle, rose-colored like the rising dawn and you move back to the world's underground. As if in a large tunnel of robes and chores: your clarity, dressed, blinds and drops its leaves and other times becomes a naked hand again.
  10. i suggest you to use "a spell a rebel yell", I think it fits to the whole Viva era, plus is beautiful, plus is not so well known, you may impress the judges with your Coldplay knowledge!:wink3:
  11. how on earth could I forget those? "so I'm gonna buy a gun and start a war, if you can tell me something worth fighting for"- a rush of blood to the head "Give me real don't give me fake" and "give me love over this"- Politik two of my favourite songs of all time!!shame on me
  12. it's not even the half of the songs I love, but so far... "is there anybody out there who, is lost and hurt and lonely too.are they bleeding all your colours into one? and if you come undone, its if you've been run through, some catapult had fired you. you wonder if your chance will ever come. or if you're stuck in square one" - Square One Just love those words, they picture perfectly certain moments of my life "Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be this hard...oh let's go back to the star(t)". The scientist who never wanted to push a rewind button?I thought for a long time that it said "stars" instead of "start", and I still like the idea... "lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones and I will try to fix you"- Fix you the verb try is so meaningful to me....it's like Chris saying "I will do my best because I know it hurts so bad, but please forgive me if I can't." "everything's not lost" I repeat it to myself many times, and always makes me feel better. "now my feet won't touch the ground" from either LiT ii, Strawberry Swing, Now my feet... it makes me think of a state of ultimate and permanent bliss.Lovely. "people moving all the time, inside a perfectly straight line...don't you wanna just curve away?"- Strawberry Swing and the whole death and all his friends
  13. I don't think it's depressing, either...sometimes it's sad, but life is like this, too, isn't it? there can't be always happy and cheerful songs....Coldplay represent a whole world of emotions, including negative ones, in my opinion.

Hi Livia; I am so sorry to hear about your friend, the whole story made me really sad...I hope, but I am sure about it, that Debs will take into account your request. I hope the boys can see the video of your talented friend and honour her memory. Let us know if you have more news.
  15. I have read an interview to an italian vj, who says that once she interviewed Chris and after, on his purposal, they ended up dancing a tango in a club. I wonder - if it true; - if it so, why her, good lord? - but especially....Chris dancing tango?? :whaaat::heart:
  16. I remember that back in 2002, at school we were listening to songs in english to improve our listening skills; I suggested my teacher to use "the scientist", but only one or two of my class mates liked it, and teased me because that music was "depressing", in their words...I didn't care, and I'm still here, sticking to Coldplay, and the scientist is still one of my fave songs. So, I'm really happy I love Coldplay, and I don't care if people tell me I have bad taste in music, or bash them- I have a friend who's a huge fan of Satriani and thinks Coldplay is terrible and constantly repeat that just to tease me...nevermind.
  17. I live in Rome; today I was having a walk in the very city center with my ipod on, listening to AROBTH, and I thought how gorgeus it would be to see Coldplay performing in front of the Colosseum. The municipal administration from time to time organizes concerts there for free, I bet Coldplay wouldn't ask more than Mc Cartney, Simon& Garfunkel or Elton John (they played there before). Oh God, please let it happen someday, that would be magical! -totally random, I know!-
  18. I was in a club yesterday and everytime they played "when love takes over"I illuded myself they were going to put on "Clocks":o and during lunch my relatives wanted to watch the New Year's Concert from Wien, and when they played the Blue Danube I was so excited!my mom told me "are you hoping Coldplay will come out, aren't you?" :laugh3:
  19. :laugh3::laugh3:also, one of best Chris' quotes ever!
  20. if you want to become a good music writer I think you should be inspired and honest and truly express yourself. I personally love Coldplay because their music is honest and straightforward, and I always relate to their songs...and they are so true that sometimes it hurts. But they always make me feel better, I grew up listening to them and they're the soundtrack of my life since I was 15.
  21. good idea to end 2009..I've just started Politik... one of the best album of the decades, and one of the greatest ever...it reminds me of so many things!
  22. chris, no doubt! who's the big spender?
  23. yuls replied to a post in a topic in Coldplay
I had a weird dream not really about Coldplay but anyway related...I dreamt I was babysitting a cute little blond girl and we were playing in a poppy field :D: then her mum came to pick her up, and it turned out the girl was Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter.:shocked2:
  24. very nice indeed, and clock fits perfectly. Too bad it was just about american sport because I don't really know about it...but the video's cool!
  25. to me, Chris! who's the best husband?I mean in helping with the house, the kids and stuff when at home...
