Your Coldplay Story
happy birthday darkchoc! bohemiandaisy your story is so!sweet... I agree, some CP songs can really cheer you up! my story: july 2002, I was having breakfast while watching MTV, and I heard this wonderful guitar line....it really caught me!and those beautiful blue eyes jumping all over the room....it was love at first sight!(don't need to say the song was "in my place"),some weeks later my sister borrowed from a friend "parachutes" and "arobtth"but after listening to them we ran to the shop and bought them....loved both album from beginning to end, and since then they are one of the soundtracks of my life, in good and bad moments...they ALWAYS have the right song and the right word for what I'm going through. one of my best memories belongs to 2003, my first concert, I'll never forget it! I was in 3rd row, when Chris was about to leave the stage at the end of the concert I sent him a kiss and he smiled at me...sweet!

Coldplay Greatest Hits 2000-2010
but if they put in the greatest hits just the hit singles, probably most of the people will already know them. I mean, I think everyone who knows Viva la Vida heard before Clocks, or Yellow...the only way to make it more interesting for Coldplay prophanes is putting in some least known tracks-or bsides, or extras for the hard core fans! =D

Show Off "Your" Coldplay!
wow guys, amazing stuff everyone!you're all so creative... and since you are very imaginative for what I can see, and there are some good artists in there, I wanted to ask you an artistic advice!::cool: I would like to get a viva charm bracelet, ordering it to a girl I know who creates jewels with cernit, fimo and this kind of stuff. I think it would be cool to have a cute coldplay inspired bracelet!I thougt about a bell charm (reminding Viva la Vida), a butterfly charm for Lovers, a violet charm for Violet Hills, a strawberry one for Strawberry Swing and a pair of wings which make me think about Life in technicolor (...now my feet won't touch the ground...). i would love to have a charm also for my favourite song of the album, DAAHF, but I really don't know how to "picture" it.. a spiral?a black and white circle? if you have any ideas...won't you let me know?:wink3:

Post pictures of the gorgeous Chris
hi girls! just wanted to share I couple of pics I have taken at Barcelona's concert...it was soooooo difficult for me to have decents Chris' shot because he's so hypercinetic!:laugh3: and after some time I decided enjoy the concert without worring too much about pictures... *edit* sorry, I've uploaded the images on 2 different sites (imageshack and imagebam) but I don't understand why I can't see them on the board...do you know how I can fix this?

Song Meaning
I've always thought it said "i can hear the silent sound" instead of "I can hear the siren sound"... I liked the impression of something arriving quietly. To me, this song means love is the only escape to the bitterness of the world, something that makes you feel " high"(now my feet woun't touch the ground),the only thing that makes life (normally black and white) in technicolor.

What Coldplay has done to me...
vivalayellow, your project is very nice and I'm sure the guys will appreciate it. If you want to share it with us, I'll be pleased to read it. anyway, searching in the oracle answers, I found this: December 10, 2008 - submitted by John, United States of America Q. Dear Mr. Oracle, I know you are so busy being the smartest of the smartest and all, but I have a very important question that I beg you to answer. How might we be able to send letters to the band? I've looked throughout the web site and can't find anything. A response would be very much appreciated. Like really, really, appreciated. The Oracle replies: We'd prefer emails if possible and that's kinder to the environment as well as being a space saver. There are 2 addresses. The snail mail address is c/o PO Box 246 Cheadle SK8 9AF The email address is [email protected]. so this should be a "safe" address....

Top 5 Viva Era Songs
my choice... 1- LiT I and Death and All His friends... both stunning, great opening and great close!I think they give the best sample of the Viva spirit... 2- Strawberry Swing...I can't help clap my hands whenever I hear it!and it makes me think of a perfect, perfect day.... 3- Lost! , this song is almost a mantra for me 4- 42 5- postcards from far away...just precious. I think that cemetries and lovers should be in the list, too, but there's no space! and violet hill...the "if you love me, why'd you let me go" is straightforwarrd and heartbreaking at the same time...

I replied the rsvp, too...if has something to do with the wedding bells, it's becoming intriguing!::o I thought that maybe the chose a plain layout because the viva one was loaded with colors and emotions and now as we're in a "transition" time would be better take a break....but it seems there's something more interesting than my silly guess!:laugh3:- Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..

hi everyone! i'm (almost) new here but I'm a die hard:) Coldplay fan, I follow them since 2002....I am italian and hope to meet new friends around here!;)- 4-Sep-2009: Estadi Olimpic, Barcelona - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Previews
after all this discussion, I would like to write a review of Barcelona's concert, I know it's a bit late but I didn't have time to write something down before. As I've already said, I was in the main stage front row so hadn't problems at all with the sound, a part from those mentioned in my previous post...I don't mean to defend Coldplay beyond evidence, but I think it was a great gig!I loved it as I've been waiting so long for it... I could hear the soundcheck from the Poble Espanyol (a place in Montjuic not far from the stadium), at about 12:00, then started queueing at around 1pm....lot of time, especially because since 4pm we had to stand up...I didn't seat until 1 in the morning, so I was pretty tired at the end, but it was worth!! I also enjoyed the supporting groups, especially "the sunday drivers", I think they have a really catchy sound!-to be honest, I found myself whistling their songs days after:) My sister has been to Udine, too, but she didn't explained me very well how the concert would start-I tried not to read too many previous reviews about the tour because I wanted to be as surprised as I could...I expected the courtain to fall down showing Delocroix's paiting, but when I saw the map thing and suddenly those fabolous guys entering with "fireworks" in their hands, with Life in technicolor on the background...stunning. I know for some of you the setlist is not that entertaining because they more or less repeat the same stuff everywhere, but I also think it's fair for those who go to just one concert, to enjoy the songs from the last cd. Evertyime they started playing next song, I was thinking "great!I'm glad to hear it 'cause i love it!!", but it was the same for every song =D. The thing is, I associate almost every CP track to a moment in my life...and I could feel every word Chris was sining, every single word. Some were even more emotional to me, such as "politik","the hardest part", or "in my place"... when they played it, I rememebered exactly the moment I first listened to Coldplay, the first time I saw those tremendously honest blue eyes...really, "every moment was so precious"...I sung at the top of my lung, and jumped, and laughed, and tears came to my eyes... I "lived" the songs and the concert. Before the firs sortie, when Chris and Guy came in front of us to receive the applause, I did a gesture with my hands just to say "thank you", and as they were looking my way, they smiled at me...it was just a fraction of a second, but it was so sweet,...and when everybody was singing "the scientist" I really thougt it was a shame for us to part...(not me and Chris, I mean the whole public and the band:laugh3:) Adrenaline still runs in my veins when I think about that concert...can't wait for more! (I think I'll have to wait for a long time now, but you never know...) - 20 September 2009: Coldplay profiled on South Bank Show (VIDEOS IN FIRST POST)
