lol @ viva la vida. So overplayed, but that is the song that will have Coldplay down in the annals of rock god history. Yellow defo. Hopefully In My Place and Politik FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER. Those are my favorites live. I love freakin In My Place live especially. Politik live sounds better than studio...its that good.

My List: Clocks(for surrrre) In My Place Fix You(crowd favorite) Yellow Viva La Vida(now, at least, for their next tour) Violet Hill Politik I was actually rather surprised that they cut Speed of Sound from their set list this time. Wonder why? Surprised that they included Green Eyes, actually, and omitted Trouble. I love Trouble! Why the omit?:\

Dude I love Coldplay concerts but I hate them for one big reason They end. :angry: Seriously, I go to so many shows, but Coldplay always tops any other band. It's like any other band I see is boring compared to them. Saw The Police Reunion tour and kept thinking...Coldplay is so much better live. Same with any other band I've seen. It's like that old adage "once you go coldplay, you never go back!" LOL And life gets so boring after a coldplay concert..:) Can't wait til the next tour!

OH shoot...I forgot about A Message... Yes, I love that song..because I'm a lonely gal sometimes and it speaks to me.:cry: I like to pretend that it's written for me. If someone serenaded Swallowed In The Sea for me, I would die of love.

It doesn't have to be your favorite song...just name the song that has made you cry...at least once. Call me corny or cheesy, but The Scientist always make me cry. So heartfelt..you know those lyrics are just teeming with genuine emotion and love. Chris' voice sounds so lush there. I cry whenever I hear it live.

Lovers in Japan was their best video. I love those butterflies... Strawberry Swing was good, but the focus was laid too heavily on Chris. And MTV really is not a good judge on good music. I was just wondering if any of you thought they would win...I DOUBT IT. lol...

I hope the mindless constituents of MTV vote for these guys and help them win at least best Rock Video. They are the greatest thing to grace MTV probably. Hope they win. Im just watching for that reason!:D

I love this song. It has a storytelling quality to it, which I love and can be rare in music these days. I agree with you 100%-it has a Dickens quality to it. And I love that about it. I just imagine carriages careening through the foggy streets of London after hours approaching cemeteries.:) I agree with you that someone in the band has been thinking about that nagging question: what lies for us after we are deceased? 42, Death and all his friends also show a preoccupation with death and the afterlife as well. I would say it's actually a focal point of this album. Viva La Vida-long live life...or...you could choose death? Eh, this may be rubbish but thats how I interpret it!

Yep. It happened to me after X&Y. it happens with every band. come on, if you listen to coldplay everyday, all the time, it will get old. take a break and your love is sure to return. music is kind of like relationships. absence makes the heart grow fonder lol
