Rude and totally unnecessary on this message board. The person was just expressing a concern. I too was shocked that Chris was selling his FIRST guitar that would probably go to some undeserving rich fat cat. At least it's going to a good cause...but that guitar should not have gone. That guitar produced Yellow. Viva was different, but every band evolves. Change is a part of life, bud. NO ONE likes it. But I know how you feel. I grew up with Parachutes and a rush of blood to the head as well. But I am proud of Coldplay and I rather have them evolve than stay the same. Evolution is the mark of a good band.

I sincerely hope they are joking! What a slap to the face to men who care so much about the world around them and inspire others to do so too!

Dear Chris, As a human rights and international development major, I actually care what you have to say about Fair Trade. You're my inspiration for trying to change the world one day and I'm glad that you are so conscious and concerned. Legacy-wise it's Viva La Vida. There are a lot of people, and I mean a lot...who do not know Yellow or Clocks. VLV was played on every radio station. People of all music genres love this song. But their best, quality wise, has to be Politik. Lyrics, energy, melody. It's perfect. I think VLV is a perfect song, too. But my favorite is In My Place :D

Um, now that I slept on this news..i have a different approach. i dont want a purely acoustic album. variety is the spice of life. it should have a little bit of everything. i love acoustic but imagine...everything on the album is acoustic..it would get boring. and also, the smaller the venue..the harder to get tix. and the more likely i will not be able to see my favorite band of 9 years! i also like the stadium feel...YES I HATE BEING SO DISTANT FROM THE BAND, THAT IS ADMITTED! but i liked the butterflies, the part of being part of something epic, special. but seriously this is deja vu of pre viva days...and now im suspicious and dont trust the Sun but dont mind me! im a pessimist

And Ive been concerned over them being so apart from fans, too! i LOVE eerie churches...teehee! i always visit them on euro trips...cant wait for the new theme but smaller venues=harder to get tix//and we ALWAYS get screwed over with presale! but i hate STADIUM concerts...i love how Chris is thinking of us! They are truly the best band in the world!

In My Place. It's arguably in my top 3 and is one of their best. NEVER GETS OLD It's very "Coldplay." I actually think Viva is so different from the rest that none of the songs are what I think when i think Coldplay...except for maybe VLV cause that's their most mainstream song.
