Would you support an invasion of Libya?
Slightly different, but regardless, I don't support giving weapons out to anyone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIA-Osama_bin_Laden_controversy

The shit on the internet that people believe.
She said this yet is old enough to drive? I am afraid to admit I am judging her. Apologies.

And my point wasn't serious, obviously, hence my use of the word opinion. I was going to put the tongue smiley on the end of it but I've never done it in real life so I won't be doing it here. So not arrogance at all.

Who else is going to provide the incorrect opinion then?

I agree with the current events thing. Keeps it fresh and you tend to get more of individual peoples opinions rather than sound bites that have been knocking around for years supporting or devaluing a common theory.

As a minor discussion point, not a major, I wouldn't mind discussing this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12606610

Would you support an invasion of Libya?
Sit it out and wait whilst providing support to those you can. I think it's vital that the people of Libya get the chance to try this revolution alone. They are the ones who started it, they are the ones who wanted change. It's no use them despising whoever invades when they are making significant ground alone. They're wound up enough right now, hijacking their hard work will only make any invader their enemy. Recently, with focus on Gene Sharp's book 'From dictatorship to democracy' (which came through in the post for me a couple of days ago) many people have commented how the tactics used match the layout of Sharps methods of non-violent protest. Egyptians don't seem too impressed at being linked to an American academic and are keen to stress that it is an Egyptian revolution. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12522848

I like it as an alternative option to the general idea of a thread. Worth a try.

Globalisation - good or bad?
I like to think it would bring greater freedom, but obviously it's not always the case.

The Official Club Football 2014-2015 thread
Did you say Liverpool deserved no points the next time he played though. Failure to be punished is not the players fault. It is the crime they have committed that is the problem, and Gerrard has been guilty in the past too.

Cole would go to court if the guy prosecuted him. Rooney has not done anything that warrants legal action, but he deserved a straight red of course. It's all over.

Radiohead
Electioneering was my uni song since when my friends visited we'd request Radiohead (since they'd be playing the likes of Razorlight and crap like that) and all he had was that one song, so that was the highlight of the night usually.

That's OK Jules, any suggestions are welcome. I was going to suggest some Pluxus for people who like the music in this thread.

Miscarriage could lead to death penalty
And finally, of course the preferred option would be to keep the baby. The choice goes either way - keep or get rid. It's not just the choice to get rid. If a mother wants to keep a child which was conceived during rape etc then that is also her choice and she wouldn't be judged for it. OK, heading to the gym.

Miscarriage could lead to death penalty
That wasn't me commenting on your situation by the way. Just a general situation on miscarriage in comparison to abortion.

Miscarriage could lead to death penalty
The sympathy was mainly for the Mothers who went through the miscarriage, not the unborn babies. Abortion, usually, is the Mothers choice. Obviously if it wasn't then that is a whole other issue. There are unfortunately some communities/societies where they do not have the choice. And I respect your opinions on this matter by the way, mine are just different.
