First I did Primary School Teaching with History, then I moved to History and Politics. Are these exams that you have to sit at uni, or do you do it at home? I'm guessing it'll be at the uni, otherwise I'd help.

So there is a piece in New Scientist from last month (6 Nov) about methylation which means that the genetic slate probably isn't wiped clean for the next generation. Poor diet and bad parenting (neglect in particular) which can cause psychiatric disorders can be passed on to your children and your children's children, even if they do not go through the same events as you. They found that in rats, the ones that were put under a lot of stress gave birth to pups which were more likely to suffer from stress/anxiety. Those rats in turn gave birth to rats more likely to be depressed and suffer from stress and anxiety, even though their parents, or themselves had not been put under and actual stress, simply in a normal lab environment. Obviously they had rats under normal conditions and they had the normal chance of having pups that had stress/anxiety. I personally think it's pretty fascinating, and adds a whole new responsibility to people, which they can choose to take on or not take on. It shows the importance of looking after your mental health as much as you can.

Romantic walks in the snow wearing gloves and sarves and wooly hats sharing warmth, coming back to a log fire and then taking all of that and more off with the beautiful white scenery out the window :lol: But when you are alone it's just a disruption and there is nobody else to keep you warm. My ipod doesn't insulate and it needs my naked finger to turn the wheel, and since that is my only company it's pretty lame.

Yeah. I felt sick all day and I've been pretty depressed. I'm sure I heard him talking about head butting her and breaking her nose but I was trying not to listen. It's honestly made me feel awful all day :( I'd have said something but the guy is a nut case and in the English Defence League and would probably bite my face off if I did.
