  4. nahh, i'm a raptor at heart :smug:
  5. i think i will do! then new year in london hopefully!
  6. i understand that. and i want the thread to go back to happy. it's just when i go into a thread and give what i feel is a fair opinion i don't expect such hostility (not from you of course). had the people posting criticism been met with something a little more intellectual than being told to get out of the thread and that they are wrong, then things could have carried on. like i have said i am happy (and somewhat envious) for the people who like the album and i would like to talk to people about why they like it. people don't have to respond - like you said you don't have to justify your opinion if you don't want to - but when people attack others, things like this happen and loads of rubbish gets written that isn't actually about the music. but like i said, you have responded with dignity and have been nothing but nice i wish others had too.
  7. i know what you mean. but the feeling i get is that they tried to be mainstream but didn't quite pull it off. for me to get into this album it could happen have done with being a little more poppy, rather than repetitive. the fact they didn't go all out mainstream gives me hope for the next album though. going mainstream isn't necessarily the end for a band obviously (and there are mainstream bands that i like), but it's a slippery slope for many bands and i wouldn't want arcade fire to be one of those bands. i like arcade fire for certain reasons, and if they went more mainstream they would be losing a lot of that.
  8. ahhh ok. where in france do you live? i was going to go to strasbourg once to see a cocorosie gig, when i was about 18 but it proved to be too costly. that would have been perfect though. well at least you won't be stuck for things to do!
  9. if you don't move, they can't see you!
  10. :laugh3: it was a blackburn rovers football club mug (a kind of jokey christmas present from my parents, just so i got more than a few presents), but i used it all the time. i'm gonna buy another one exactly the same when i get money!
  11. awww, who would you have seen? i'm having a quiet night too! gonna listen to music and drink some milk
  12. if he was in here i'd be saying the same things mods are having a word with him soon i think (definitely if he carries on) i didn't complain btw, just what i heard after he decided to tell a mod to fuck off he's such a nice chap :dozey:

  14. Hello Greg :nice: I feel a bit sick today but it will be better soon, I hope :p i hope you will be! do you have any plans for tonight?
  15. hey! how are you? that would be so annoying! every single subject that came up he'd just go crazy if somebody didn't agree! it all sounds really cool (but difficult remembering all of those things!) have a good day and i'll speak to you soon!
  16. i think that would be the category 'people who aren't dejan'
  17. i'm trying to coax him into one (well, not trying too hard)
  18. i wouldn't say i was a bit of a sceptic. there is obviously something in it or it wouldn't have been going for so long. and if it works for people it works. yeah, i heard about the cancer thing. i think my mum was offered some when she had it a while back (offered through the national health service - the national health service wouldn't offer something that was below standard so yes i agree there will be something in acupuncture). wow, 350?! like pressure points? i bet you'll be good at massages knowing those places! i know! i don't know how he connects with any of their music when he has so much anger in him. but you handled him well the mods will be having a word soon.
  19. well obviously that must be true. but i look to you as my teacher oh wise one. why is it that the gods have decreed that the suburbs is so sacred as to not be able to be questioned in any way shape or form without vengeance?
