hmm, i'm not sure how to find those things i'm afraid. but you can start at the second series, it doesn't really matter. there is nothing vital to learn in the first series and the characters are reintroduced so it's fine. i'll keep an eye out for you though and if i see something i'll let you know

i think one of the problems here is that the dissenters in this thread are actually arcade fire fans and therefore still have an interest. a lot of people have stated why they have not taken to the new album but have not been able to discuss it with those who do like it since they have not given any in depth discussion about why they like it (as mentioned before). therefore if the dissenters had no interest in the band they would leave the thread and forget about it. we care that we don't feel what we felt for the other albums though because we ARE fans and so we want to see why people like it. so the dissenters are having to keep making similar posts to try and drag some discussion out of those who enjoyed the album. instead we are just getting hostility. we are all arcade fire fans, we just don't agree on things, but that doesn't mean we can't have a meaningful discussion on the subject and share our feeling good or bad.

a little respect for the moderators of the board please. or respect for anyone for that matter

do you not have any friends who like arcade fire? or are there any other irish coldplayers who you know aren't serial killers i hope you get to go. even though i don't like this album i would see it live if they played a few older things too, simply because they put on an awesome show.

haha, if you guys wind him up it would be hilarious but try wait till he answers my serious questions first, then we can keep annoying him, then getting him back on topic, then annoying him, then getting him back on topic. that way he'll stay around for longer /trolling knowledge :p usually it's fine, but i think they were expecting a heat wave which never came. i suppose it could still come and they are keeping the ban in place anyway for when it does

yeah, it's really silly. we have a hosepipe ban due to lack of water in the reservoirs but it's been raining almost every day for the last two weeks. well if you decide to do it then enjoy it for what it is and don't regret it. you'll just have to make do without. if you decide not to do it then be happy that you know you will be eating them tomorrow! either way, be happy :hug: haha, see you there!

hmmm, i tried to get the arcade fire thread back into actual discussion on the music but he doesn't seem to be interested in that. he could have won back a little dignity by putting forward his opinions with grace, but i don't know if he is able to do that.

no, them as in bands i don't like. i'm an arcade fire fan, i just don't like the new album. yes she is, and i tell her she shouldn't be all the time (jokingly) and she knows i'm joking and so we are friends :) haha, eating the rest of the Oreos would be a good feeling. if you are going to do it and regret it don't do it since it won't be worth it. but if you are going to eat it and forget about it and think about other things and enjoy yourself, then do it! oreos are good :p i'm considering doing the garden again, but it keeps raining. it's coming up to 15:30 here. going to my friends tonight i think!

haha, yes it's ok. people are very precious about their music. i'm not worried by his reaction. i myself am the opposite of him where i won't have a good thing said about many bands, but i joke in my reponses and i'm aware of the fact that my feelings are somewhat illogical since i don't really hate them THAT much since i can just avoid them. my favourite band is radiohead, but i don't care if people call them awful. if somebody was to say that they liked muse or mew however, i would not be able to stop myself from saying i disagreed (with a jokey reply). it's nice to meet you by the way. what are you up to today?

ah, ok. we are on to something here. something we can discuss maturely hopefully. why do you think tracks other than these are not fillers? and i also find it strange (but not inexplicable) that you have so much love for an album which has 4 fillers, especially when one of them is the first song (something that would stereotypically set the scene of an album like this).
