cake is good! simpsons is good bed is good too sounds like a good night. scrapbook is good. i finished it tonight! and the tv show has been nice. i feel a bit whorish for having it but i just want to meet people and make people happy. i miss sharing my life with somebody and so i make silly threads. what have you been up to tonight?

hello everyone

yeah it was really good. it was billed as daniel johnston and friends, but it was basically his own supergroup, so the 'friends' played their own separate support slots before him, then they all played daniel johnston songs together. there was mark linkous from sparklehorse, jad fair from half japanese, the bassist from yo la tengo and also scout niblett. then the guy who plays with daniel as well. met them all backstage. sparklehorse were the best support slot and played some really nice stuff (things i've not been able to track down since so i don't know if it was new or old)

i'd go as far as to say 'the suburbs (continued)' is the most beautiful thing i've heard in a long time. but it probably makes more annoyed that it made it on because they clearly do still have something but they just didn't show it in the rest of the album. i think they could become another one of those bands that try different things, but not anything i have an interest in so i eventually just stop listening to their new releases. like kings of leon or badly drawn boy. hopefully this album was only a blip. the final track gives me hope that they can turn it around. funeral: 9.5 neon bible: 8.7 the suburbs: 6.3

yeah! we can sit and watch the sunset and hug that'd be nice and france is somewhere i really need to go again soon. i haven't been since i was about 3
