Please discuss your thoughts on which you prefer and which you believe to be more beneficial to you at this stage in your life and other stages of your life. Which you feel more inclined towards, and which you would like more of. How you would go about getting more of one or the other.

Ah, I may have misinterpreted your last post for the bit I asked why to. Did you mean no makeup is bad, as in, on it's own, no form of makeup is bad. Or not wearing makeup is bad?

Yeah, I was pleased with the response of people and I'm glad there wasn't an awful amount of time discussing semantics and spelling things out to people who aren't interested in accepting the current state of things. Or those who like to play victim for the sole reason that they are in no way a victim themselves and they feel all left out. Why? That's lame. It's a shame to see the notion of feminism frowned upon. I think it's too easy for men to go on the defensive. They see it as a personal attack and because they have not looked into the topic passed what the mainstream media often portrays it as (some of the lesser important facets of the movement, boiling down to semantics, etc) and don't see themselves as a problem (and many of them are not), they are hesitant to put themselves up as part of the solution, or are simply not aware that they possibly could be one. But it's too easy for anyone not to get involved in things, or challenge themselves to find out what is happening and analysing their true impact on the issue. Why bother when you have the mainstream press providing all the answers in a simplistic (but false) interpretation which plays into your already manufactured biases, brought about by a gender divide instilled from an early age and maintained by the powerful who are almost exclusively white males. That's how I see it anyway.

There is a thread which has become that. Has Batman always had that username? When I came back half the people had changed their names and loads of new people had come so a lot of people I just presume I don't know. Modworthy people tend to be regulars though, naturally.

It looks as though Blackburn Rovers have turned a corner. Seem a bit less farcical so far in the close season and opening fixture. Some sensible signings, quietness from the owners, a manager who knows the kids and is a calming influence. Hoping for at least mid table this season. The average age was 22 against Derby and if anybody deserved to win it was Rovers. Looked in control until they gave away a stupid penalty, and managed to find a reply in a scrappier second half. Nice reply too. Last season the players look disinterested and lethargic but the current players have a bit more hunger about them. We have some quality in there still too, with the likes of Rhodes. /bart style self indulgent post
