The Viva outfits were awesome, I freakin loved them. The band didn't do it for any other reason than because they thought it'd be cool and fun to do.

Yeah...I'm not saying I like it, I'm just saying I don't mind it all that much. I mean I didn't listen to Lovers in Japan for a while thinking it'd suck, but it turned out to be a great song. Coldplay aren't exactly the best at naming their songs with gripping titles... Plus, I guarantee you that the Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall part at the end will be so incredible you won't even care about how chessy it is anymore!!!

I hated the title at first but as I hear it more it just sounds less chessy to me and I get used to it.

Dude, calm down. I hated the lyrics at first too, and just because somebody doesn't like this song doesn't make them wrong, it just means they don't like the song. All I'm saying is that people complain about the song but will end up listening to it 10000000 times because they're ignorant hypocrites.
