You don't have to be a wizard to just NOT BE STUPID. Any idiot could figure out that Coldplay will have a slightly more clever title than Monday Morning. If Radiohead named their album Monday Morning, everyone on this forum would say its a stupid name. But since you all think there's a SLIGHT possibility that Monday Morning is the name of LP5, you're all supporting it.

I hate seeing posts on here that are just so repetitive. I've seen at least 20 posts all saying, "Hey guys, remember how Chris said the album would be 2 words and it starts with an M? Well I've come up with the idea that it might be called Monday Morning!" It's like: 1. Nope, read any other page of this forum and you'll see that you in fact did not come up with this and 2. No. The album will have a better name than Monday Morning...

That's what I was thinking! I would love if everyone in the theatre stood up and sang along like they were actually at the show!

Just bought my tickets! Yay! Ya, I don't know if they'll show other people besides Coldplay. Also, what time are Coldplay actually going to be playing? And are they actually playing for 2 hours?

They're sort of moving away from releasing singles on CDs, the only CDs to get are the promo Cds for radio stations. I'd say this will be like Violet Hill, and just be released digitally at first on Monday.

They tweeted it, all it said was (in spanish) "Coldplay to release a new single!!!" or something like that.

Listen genius, nobody thinks that the video said Monday to reference that on Monday something will happen. Clearly Monday Morning is just part of the lyrics. But we DO think that since the lyrics mention Monday Morning, maybe it would be fitting to release or announce something on Monday Morning. At least that's how the smart people on this forum are looking at it... all five of them that is...

MTM actually, so you'd have to suggest something like Minutes to Monday, of Moments to Monday. But I personally don't think this song is going to be named anything with the word Monday in it.

Because the single is used to promote the album. if the album comes out three months after the single, that marketing ploy fails.

Well it was the day after it was released... Just kidding, but even though it is part of the lyrics, people are saying that to go along with the lyrics Coldplay will do something big on Monday.

As a stand alone lyric "I got my records on" isn't bad, but with "I turn the music up", "I got my records on", and "I feel my heart beating to my favorite song", it sounds like pop music. I'm sure the tune of the song will fix that though.

I guess, but thats too technical, they wouldn't name their songs something too crazy like that.

Well, Pectoralz was a joke, not the real name of the band at any point. X&Y is (in my opinion) a great name that expresses the essence of the album quite well. Moses IS an actual name so no problem there, and if you're talking about the song then it's even less weird because it's referencing the actual prophet. And Apple isn't actually that bad of a name when you get used to it, it's unique which is great. I think it'd be cool for every person to have a unique name and never have to meet another person with the same name.

No, those are both fine names, what i meant by "sounding stupid" is not musically, but perceptually to someone who didn't know who Coldplay was. If I saw an album called MX UFO (which is just five letters, not even words) I would percieve that as a weird sounding album. That Coldplayer said that they were pretty sure the album would be called MX UFO, but I'm just trying to say that there's no flow to that name and it just sounds too weird. Sensibly speaking, there's no chance that Coldplay would call their album MX UFO. I would've explained all that in my first post but I was at school on my phone so I didn't want to type this much...

Stop trying to figure out the name of the album guys, I guarantee not one person on hear guesses correctly before coldplay release the name. MX UFO isn't going to be the name of the album unless coldplay want their album to sound stupid.

I'd say the news today will arrive later to keep use waiting, I'd expect big news that actually tells us something. Or maybe even a R42 blog...

No no no. Fix you has simple lyrics yes, but when you see them you don't think they're bad, you just think they're simple. These lyrics are simple AND bad.

No, the whole purpose of a single is to make people buy the same song twice. Coldplay's record company does this for money. If it were up to Coldplay they'd do away with the whole "singles" process.
