  1. Looking back on it, I suspect Duke was probably more fun than UCSD, that UCSD was probably more fun than Stanford would have been ... and the Cal might have been more fun than any of them :(
  2. Right ... but any weekend I can find 3-4 Meg Ryan movies on one of TNT, TBA, USA, etc. I like Meg Ryan :) I don't mean to disparage Meg Ryan, she's good ... ... if you're not keen on acting in movies. :P
  3. The Duke of the midwest. Coo'.
  4. That's why I can only watch for 10 minutes. Too barbaric.
  5. i never see the obvious. Okay Dicky. :sneaky: Stop, please. Traumatic experience as a child? Nope. Personal preference. ok, i'll be nice. * sniff, sniff *

  7. So sad. Press rewind and watch it again. :) I might ... and then I can just copy and paste all my previous posts :) Actually, right now I'm watching some boxing, but I can never watch more than about 10 minutes of boxing before changing. I was SO into boxing as a kid, but now ... not so much.

  9. The movie's over :(
  10. Okay Dicky. :sneaky: Stop, please.
  11. There's a black guy with a taco on his hear that tells all the representative of Fantasia that a.) the Nothing is coming, b.) the Princess is deathly ill, and c.) a warrior of the Plains People fo the Purple Buffalo (Atrieu) will help them ... ... but then, inexplicably, Taco dude tells Atrieu a bunch of crap and sends him on his way ... ... so clearly, the Taco dude was in cahoots with the Nothing and the Princess knew this. That's why the Princess couldn't tell Taco dude nothin about all this name b/s. Ugh! So many levels!
  12. did you undergrad where you're at now?
  13. No. Definitely not.
  14. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :P
  15. Well, the ending is kind of confusing. Like, it isn't 100% clear the Sebastien is supposed to give the Princess her new name. The movie doesn't do a great job of setting that up. And even then, it's just weird that the Princess, knowing this, didn't tell the guy with the taco on his head. But that guy was full of crap anyway.
  16. I didn't leave. I'm still watching my movie and talking to peeps. I'm here for ya' G-ger
  17. And that's hard ... when i came to San Diego it was or school, so at least I had a purpose if not people. But I also have one fmaily unit down here, my Mom's brother and his family. I would come down here ever summer and visit when I was young. In those visits this fascination with San Diego and UCSD grew. I always knew I wanted to relocate from when I was a relatively young kid. When 10 or 12 my uncle took me walking through UCSD's campus, a very modest layout compared to what it is now. He was a SDSU student at the time and said "The good students go to school here." From then forward, I knew I wanted to go to UCSD. When I got my acceptance letter from UCSD in Feb. of 1995 I stopped the processes I had pending with other schools, though I thought I wanted to go to Duke. So you might say my relationship with San Diego is borderline stalking.
  18. True dat, sistah.
  19. :embarrased: No! :P
  20. Some people are. Me? I grew up in a place where we'd get a ton of snow each winter, and I loved it ... ... but having lived in San Diego, I can't imagine myself anywhere else. That's what vacations are for. I could see myself moving one day if certain things happened in my life ... ... but I don't ever want to leave San Diego.
  21. What are you talking about, Gaby?!?!?!?!
  22. And then that stupid wolf finally tracks Atrieu to the end of Fantasia and gets killed my jumping on a rock? Some great hunter!
  23. OK, Gaby. That totally crossed the line. Gross. Gross, gross.
  24. She's from San Diego. We don't like seasons, let alone winters.
