One of my friends is thinking of doing her surgical residency at Northwestern. There was a rather detailed debate as to the virtues of the greater Chicago area. I could contribute nothing, but weather came up a lot, as did crime. I dunno. Chicago seems good enough to me.

Because of the time difference, Australia isn't covered much here. The French is covered only slightly more ... American's thing the clay tournee is boring. Wimbledon and the U.S. Open are covered contiguously with replays at night and wrap-up shows in late-night. Yeah, I agree with you re: Yuones. Wouldn't it be great to see him win a major?

El Aynaoui is great! How can you not root for El Aynaoui? So Agassi is down 5-6 to Srichaphan? If I recall, Agassi lost the last time they played. That's just a good example of how deep the men's tour is now. When I was REALLY getting into tennis, there was Lendl, Becker, Wilander, Edberg, Connors, McEnrow and a couple of others. That was it. Granted, Lendl was a machine, but the tour just wasn't as deep as it is not.
