  1. I am thinking I would like to sign up for something. Abbey Road is taken so possibly Sgt. Peppers or something.
  2. Arcade Fire Extended Weekend. edit: And for more than seven albums, it depends. If it's eight or something, make it a bit more than a week. If it's ten, I think it should be two per day.
  3. Was it Snow Patrol Week? My bad. Jajaja.
  4. Si tried to start one, I think
  5. Beatles Week in particular would be ragingly popular here. They have like 3430498 albums though.
  6. ...Hey guys? Anybody remember Oasis week? LOLLLL xD
  7. ^Yeah, what he said. Tbh I don't even like U2 and I'm up for U2 week as well. I don't like Muse that much but I'm up for this too.
  8. Er I think so. PLZ DO I LUB YOU
  9. ^Yeah, humans basically hunted deer's natural predators (mountain lions, wolves, etc) to extinction in most of the areas they used to live, so deer hunting is necessary to keep the population in check. I do wish they wouldn't let the meat go to waste, though.
  10. I'm not her but I think what she meant about taking responsibility was being aware of how the animals are treated/how the meat is processed? edit: I'm also not trying to push anything down your throat (especially cuz I'm not even a proper vegetarian, like, at all :P) but apparently cutting meat out of your diet saves over $4000 in grocery bills per year :surprised:
  11. Well yeah, but I don't want to take a chance :P Also, a lot of mainstream-ly-produced meat has antibiotics and steroids and shit which I don't want to ingest in copious amuonts. FUCK! I just realized that official parmeasan cheese always has slaughtered-calf juices in it. This entails quitting pizza. I am not sure I can do that. ARGH MY LIFE IS HARRRRDDDD :bigcry:
  12. Pork is my favorite meat. But like you said, I do object to how it's processed. My moral reasons for quitting meat are how most of the animals are treated (battery hens, etc). I think the health benefits are more compelling to me, though. Not all the meat we get is free-range, and meat I eat in restaurants almost certainly is not. Natural sources are better than supplements, sure, but meat is freaking unhealthy, at the quantities that Americans eat it. Thanks for the tips, especially about the iron and B12 deficiencies. I'm going to take multivitamins I think. What you say about the health benefits is basically exactly what I think as well. Humans are engineered to eat meat like, twice or three times a month. Not every day like we do here. Er, okay. I didn't know that about the ingredients being used to make it coming from baby cow stomachs. Thanks for the heads-up. That's a bit sickening actually. Never knew. It's less of a weight thing and more of a "I really really honest to god don't want saturated fat clinging to every square millimeter of my arteries by the time I'm 35" thing. :P
  13. I was almost positive, thanks for clarifying. But if he likes he can do that too. I don't really care. :awesome::awesome::awesome:
  14. I am doing it next night. I CALLED DIBS. NOBODY TOUCH MY DIBS.
  15. Sure, why not. On like the day after it ends? I'm open to these things. Has Phil's album leaked yet? :P Somebody could conceivably do that. And Jonny's work could get the day after that. As I remember, people just post history of the album, making of, favorite tracks, some live videos, et cetera. You can help. I am generous. You can write half of it. Er, sure. Does that officially qualify as an EP btw? Is it even all released? xD Do it the same day as The Eraser, after the main thing, you think? Anybody wanna do the My Iron Lung EP on like, teatime Monday? Haha.
  16. Yeah I try to get my dad to buy free-range meat, I think you can notice the quality of taste as well. Eating meat twice a week sounds pretty balanced as well. I watched Fast Food Nation ages ago but continued to eat meat on nutritional grounds, cuz I used to swim, but I quit and there is literally NO reason to continue to eat the amount of meat that I do, it's almost disgusting in itself. I plan on replacing my former protein intake with Nutella.
  17. I'll take vitamins/drink more protein shakes, etc. But yeah, am gonna have to watch out for that. Thanks for calling me a genius, also. Cuz you know, my ego can never get too inflated. :charming:
  18. I don't think eating meat is cruel either, not at all, but I do disapprove of how the animals are treated. Also, there are enormous health benefits to vegetarianism. I honestly don't like meat that much. Like it tastes good for a while then you chew a bit and it's like "...this tastes the same except slightly more bland now." And then you have to keep chewing just to get it to a fucking swallowable state. haha.
  19. Yes, I am going to do it for 30 days, and see what I think of it. It should be good for me anyway, to get rid of toxins, etc.
  20. I'm considering quitting meat. Er, yeah. For both health and moral reasons. Arguments for or against by any chance? Am NOT quitting milk, NOR eggs. NO NO NO. I don't eat much fish anyway, partially on the grounds that we are hunting fish to extinction, so I suppose I am quitting fish too (not that fish fall ouside the meat category...) My worries are that I will have no discipline but to be honest meat doesn't even taste that good so hopefully this will be a no-brainer. But yes, like I was saying, arguments for or against, coz I'm curious to see what you all think of it.
  21. Lol Violet's rants are so chill-outy. You do realize you're the most chillaxed person ever when arguing, right?
  22. The Beatles are good and incredibly influential, and in a good way. Overrated, though, yes, I would say so. I like to watch the way they evolved from an above-average pop band into a genuinely groundbreaking band, too. Their later stuff is just so much father up on the scale of musicianship, innovation, etc. Very impressive stuff.
