  1. Don't feel bad! That's just how the brain works! When we listen to something enough times over and over, we tend to get desensitized because it's no longer new or novel. I have several favorite bands, including Coldplay, and I find that I listen to all of my music in waves. For a while, certain things interest me, and then after a few months, I gradually switch over to other things. It doesn't mean I don't love Coldplay just as much, it's just not new and it doesn't have that fresh spark that causes that overwhelming feeling you're describing, that rush of adrenaline and pleasure. Your mind just craves variety. I laughed, but I have to agree with PP that said to listen to mainstream Top 40 radio for awhile. You'll be craving some Coldplay after that for sure. And listen to live shows, watch videos of shows you've been to (if you've gotten to see them live). Incorporate other music you love into your everyday playlists. Search for new music! You'd be surprised how simply musically stimulating your mind can bring back that fresh feeling for all of your music, including Coldplay. :)
  2. It's hard to say so far! To me, the music is much more important than the title, and plus, we'll all get used to the title after awhile. We'll be used to hearing it, we won't even notice how weird it is, and it'll probably fit the music well.
  3. As soon as I saw the title of this thread, I thought, "Amsterdam." It's one of my favorite Coldplay songs, and on some days it is my favorite song, but the reason that I think it's a good candidate for "perfect" has nothing to do with how much I love it. Okay, probably a bit, but I just think it's extremely musically balanced. It has some great chords, some beautiful juxtaposition of melody and lyrics, and a great vocal presentation by Chris. Other candidates are The Scientist, Green Eyes, and Shiver.
  4. Hmm.... either Sparks or the acoustic live version of The Hardest Part. But that's just today. ;)
  5. To be honest, I'm not much of a fan of either song (I know, an unpopular opinion). I usually don't listen to either. I would have to pick Speed of Sound, though.
  6. Thank you! :D
  7. A Whisper is my least favorite. I'm not a huge fan of Daylight either, but it's growing on me. And it may be an unpopular opinion, but I really dislike Clocks. It improved live, but it really doesn't do anything for me. I don't understand why it's such a huge hit.
  8. A Rush Of Blood To The Head 31 Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends 55
  9. Bigger Stronger 43 - Brothers & Sisters (CD version) 46 See You Soon 10 + High Speed 13
  10. Haha, well, it's pretty stupid, actually. I used to have a t-shirt with a green heart on it, and some of the design started to peel off. It ended up looking like a strange green pepper. My friend thought it was hilarious for some reason. The old shirt somehow got lost, and one day, my goofy friend made me a new shirt on which she drew an identical funky green pepper. I still have it somewhere. You see, I told you it was stupid! :laugh3:
  11. Thanks! I'm a violinist, and I'm actually a freelance professional violinist right now while I'm working toward a job teaching at a university.
  12. Thanks! :P I was thinking about Green Eyes, actually, although the green pepper thing is sort of a joke with a friend of mine...
  13. You have a point! :)
