  1. I'd like a Xyloband as well! :) Daly, Illinois
  2. Don't know if this is thread worthy or not (it's my first thread!), but I'm watching the Packers play the Vikings right now and I noticed something going into the commercial break. Don't Let It Break Your Heart was playing in the background while highlight were shown! I was shocked and ecstatic! :D I found it kind of strange though too; I know it's an upbeat, melodious tune, but that's an odd choice for publicity (if that was even the motive, you'd think they choose PoC, CB, HLH...). MNF could have just chosen the song as a transition, who knows! And a nice choice it was ;) Any thoughts? What do you all think? Just thought I'd share!
  3. 1. Hurts Like Heaven 2. Charlie Brown 3. Us Against The World/ETIAW
  4. i don't think they sound that much alike, but i would say that mat sounds like an altered version of chris's voice. as in, if you took chris's vocals on a piece and took them down a couple half steps or so, that effect would definitely resemble mat's voice! someone should try that to see if they have the capability to do so. mat's kinda got that nasally thing going like chris, but his is more "stuffed up" or stuck in the throat
  5. ^+1 right you are! chris does NOT need auto-tune. the high end recording software and vocal amps they use just make his voice as great as it really is. technology is catching up to chris you could say ;)
  6. this is gonna be such a hit on the air waves!!!!!! :D :D :D i love it! it's a even newer direction than what we've heard! chris's falsettos :) :) :D
  7. i think it really could be. it has a lyric like "drunken as a .... in a lion's den" and after chris asked will back into the band, they made him get crazy drunk as "punishment". at least that's what i've gotten out of inteviews and what they've said about it
  8. I think that it will be ETIAW, and then either Major Minus (because it was on the EP) or Hurts Like Heaven (my best guess as the next single and radio hit off the album.
  9. I am headed to Lolla! I'm pumped, and I can't wait to see the boys again, it's been a few years. I've never been to a festival before, so I'm not too sure about some things. This may be a silly question, as the answer might be quite simple, but obviously the goal is to get as close as possible to the stage. How do you do that at a festival? Of course you want to get there early, even when other bands are playing before them, but should you just keep walking through people to the front like you know someone up there? haha I mean, I could technically say I know all you guys. All of the coldplayers in the front could be my point to head towards. How long before they start should I arrive at the coldplay stage and begin to move towards the front? Closer is better, but first 15-20 rows will do for me! As I said, this could be silly and I may be overreacting, but I would love to hear what you guys know! I'm losing my festival virginity this weekend ;) haha it's gonna be a lot of fun! Thanks! -Daly
  10. This! :) Now there's some logical, positive thinking! We can have our opinions, good or bad. No need to bicker. I like how the song is upbeat and happy even though the title may give off a sad feeling. It's almost as though the feeling is one of relief. I dislike how when I listen to the song, I can hear so much of previous efforts. I think of Strawberry Swing (Jonny's little guitar riffs) and LIT ii with the suspended chords throughout. It's as though they really haven't moved on from Viva yet; I feel like it's a half-hearted attempt at an electric sound, and then the acoustic guitar comes in to bring us back to the past 3 years. I'm not disappointed, I enjoy the song. It's going to be liked by a wider variety of people I think. There's a hint of new direction, and maybe, just maybe this is a sign of something greater to come. :wink3: :D
  11. that looks like the end, i figured there was going to be a 4th and final line. more tomorrow maybe?!
  12. ^i think you're right juanma, the rhyme scheme fits, along with syllables. i'm going to predict that there will be one more today! because when you read those lyrics, there needs to be one more "2 liner" to rhyme with it. i just feel like it would complete that section. i could see the last one they post consequently being the title of the song!!!! :D :D as in the last line of those lyrics has the title in it!
  13. alright so we've got quite a bit so far, all from what i assume will be one song: "i turn the music up, i got my records on. i shut the world outside until the lights come on." "maybe the streets alight, maybe the trees are gone" i don't think we even have a real title yet, these are just portions of lyrics from a....single? :D that's what i'm thinking, no title given yet, no album title or picture yet. (possibly the man walking as the cover, but i don't think they would reveal it like that)
  14. so that's how you knew!! haha :D:laugh3: nice!
