hi i am looking to make friend with other coldplay fans i am going to there gig in june and would love it if they did a setlist with us against the world in it as this song means so much to me. i have now been very well this last year. this song has helped me in my recovery and got me back to work. Heard the studio version of UATW yet? Rate it!

So I was listening to Famous Old Painters and then Us Against The World and I was kinda surprised that the beginning of UATW sounds a lot like the whole song of FOP. Idk it's just what I thought and I'm listening to it again to make sure but I just wanted to say this. Maybe they incorporated it into the song? So it makes FOP authentically something Coldplay did? ('cause statistics was 70% thought it authentic, 30% thought it a fake.)

I hear it very The Bends alike, especially in the part where Will starts doing the backing vocals, and when Chris is on the piano :tongue: Does anyone else find it a Radioheady?

i was just thinking with the "like a river to a raindrop" and how they sing it together.

They haven't been using it in the recent setlists...

I liked the recording from T in The Park because it sounded more distant and less intimate than the album version. Does anyone feel the same about this? Still love the album version though...

It's not that big of a deal, but when I first heard the live version of this song (played at Rock am Ring Fest), I absolutely loved the part where I think this song really lifted off."And if we could floooooat away". Problem is in the album version, not only does Will not harmonize during the "float" like in the live version, but Chris's singing of the "float" part also sounds a bit different, in which the live singing of this specific part sounds better. I still love this version as a whole, but that's just a slight annoyance. Anyone else notice this?

...Or is this the most complacent moment from Coldplay in a while? People praise it lyrically but it doesn't really say much, and yeah, it's acoustic, which is alright if you like that... Is this song ever so overrated?

Out of all the songs we got at the festivals this was the only one I skipped. Hearing it on the album absolutely astonished me, it is so so so beautiful, and atmospheric. It's one of my faves for sure. Does anyone feel the same? I feel like most people loved the live version too. If anyone shares my opinion, what is it about the studio version that makes it (IMO) so much better? For me it's that intro, oh and the vocals sound great.

Does any one notice at the beginning before Chris starts singing, you can hear a very slight guitar mistake? I'm talking about in the intro....
