  1. stupid moderator, talking all the way through jonnys guitar solo. gawd i hate those guys..... anyway, song is ok, nothing special in my opinion. i really expected a little more variation to it but i'm quite satisfied with it the way it is now ;)
  2. Ok, let's put this together: What we have here is a concept Album (Chris mentioned that before). The amount of Songs (14 in total with - maybe - a hidden 15th track) is typically for a concept Album but not for Coldplay. This got me excited first because (and i guess i speak for most of the audience here) the more songs the better ;) But here's the thing I stumbled upon: One time Chris said that every Album should not contain more than 42 min of music/songs. If this had been the ideal on MX too, then some of those songs would just be some short material/instrumentals to fill the gabs between the "main"-songs. It relates to the idea of a concept album aswell: some of these albums tell a story and you have to hear them as a whole (which is not bad actually) and some songs could be very short in order to fill story gaps.... I might be wrong but this aspect really got me wondering. 14 songs on a coldplay album? Damn, that's huge oO But if the 42-minute-ideal is given here, some of them will eventually be very short...
  3. Now THAT is a surprise! Especially if you've heard all of the other new up-beat-stylish songs. And yes, it's a surprise i definetely like!
  4. another nice and catchy song. but indeed we need some better quality vids, like the one from cartoon hearts...
  5. i need to study biology but i can't because i'm in love with cartoon hearts....
  6. wooow hurts like heaven and especially cartoon hearts make me want that album soo bad. meanwhile i got used to ETIAW, its got this nice irish tune in it (jonny guitar-riff) which i quite like. but cartoon hearts got this nice death-and-all-of-his-friends-5/4-rythm back which is quite a relief concering the fact, that ETIAW comes with a straight house-beat which i didn't like first.
  7. "I always loved you and i always will" I remember this line from somewhere :)
  8. I really do like this song they're playing atm. Must check out the band at some time.
  9. no problems listening to radio 1 via stream. only the forum is getting a bit slower atm :D
  10. I simply mean the quality of the mastering. The bass is way too far in the mid-tones. The overall presence of all of the instruments is too dense. It's ok if you hear their music on your Ipod, or on your standard pc stereo-system. Their music and their way of producing is awesome, but try to listen to their current album on a high-end audio-system (take the 12" or the CD of course ;)) and I'm sure you will notice some very specific differences. It doesn't sound right and - most importantly - it doesn't sound worth the way they are musically talented. They sound great, musically speaking but my opinion the recording should be worth their music, too ;) I do not try to go off-topic here so again: Thanks Coldplay for an awesome piece dedicated to the wonderful christmas time!
  11. The song is - as far as music is concerned - absolutely gorgeous! But why are coldplay songs always that bad recorded? Anyway, looking forward to LP5, hopefully Bob Ludwig will do a better job in mastering than he did on Viva La Vida or Death and all of his Friends.
  12. yeah the pinkpop-festival in landgraaf is like 6km from where I live :D so gonna be there now!
