Due to drunken lads feeling the need to take of their clothes and walk around naked, I see many a'penis on a weekly basis. Last week my friend went into my living room wearing my cardy and nothing else scaring my flatmate half to death. She didn't have a clue what was going on, just muttered something about not being able to find the wok.....

Personally, I think what you have with the family and the best friend is a good thing and you wouldn't want to wreck it. Talking about it to other people should help you understand it without it getting back to anyone that knows this family, so when you have worked it all out you should be able to forget about it. I think that she has put you in a horrible position and it was selfish of her to do so! Maybe just talk to her about it while noones around but let her know that you're not going to say anything to anyone incase she feels threatened. Good luck! I think you are a good person, some people wouldn't even think twice!
