Up&Up To Become The Next Single From A Head Full of Dreams
Just listened to the Radio Edit. I'm not an audio engineer, but I can tell you immediately that it is sloppy. Really sloppy. If this was planned to be a Single for release on radio from the start, then it should have been recorded again for the purpose of releasing a cut-down version that at least wouldn't sound so slap-dash. The un-cut version is by far one of my favourites on the album, and it's such a shame that the edit doesn't do the song any justice.

Always In My Head
"This, I guess. Is to tell you you're chosen, out from the rest." That line pretty much sums up how I feel about this particular song. Combine it with the synthetic strings that accompany the song and it becomes a really emotive piece. The only other song that comes close for me on this album is True Love. Don't get me wrong - I like most if not all of them, but I there's just a few that feel like they jerk more of a reaction out of you.

Anyone into the Brony Music Scene?
I share the same opinion as Cobalt. I've heard quite a bit of the Brony music, and some of it is indeed impressive, but then again, you'll have people who can't really make music, but think they can and insist on doing so anyway. I've been a Coldplay fan for years - since 2002, so that would be the AROBTTH days, and I happen to be one of those lucky few who got dragged into the pony fandom, and actually operate the site that the UK bronies go on. The thing to remember about bronies, is that some seem to forget that not everyone wants to have the fandom, the show, or any of the content forced on them. But then again, many fandoms (Furry, Anime, etc.) are also like this.

Princess of China: Worst Coldplay song ever?
I actually rather liked the very first preview we got of this song - the live version done by Chris before the album was released. Even if it was recorded with a rather shocking camera phone. The song style is different, and it's an attempt at a collaboration with another artist. For some reason, people who aren't "true" Coldplay fans seem to enjoy the song, but that's because it appeals to the greater R&B crowd. You can't blame it on Synth, because X&Y had a lot of it. Good (world-class) artists experiment with their music and keep up with the times. Other artists have a one-hit wonder and are then soon forgotten as they refuse to adapt their music. In this case, the fans Coldplay appeal to (that's us, by the way) haven't impressed with Princess of China, because the primary Coldplay genre is Alternative/Soft Rock. You can also probably say that a few of the "true" fans dislike Paradise, because it's got a "dub-steppy" feeling to it. As for ETIAW, it's not something I can explain. When I first heard it, I wasn't sure about it, but it gradually grew on me. Don't know if anyone remembers Violet Hill prior to the release of Viva? There was a period where people were too accustomed to the souds of AROBTTH and X&Y, and it took people time to welcome Violet Hill. So yeah, that's my analysis. Maybe critical of some people's opinions, but I feel that many things can be explained. I can't really name songs or put them into a pecking order, but I can say I wasn't fond of "The Hardest Part", and there are a couple of songs in Parachutes that I don't particularly enjoy.
