What's so confusing? it's one of the most popular car bumper stickers here and the song...well, it's popular song of Texas heritage. they always play it here for July 4th concerts. That, along with "Texas, our Texas", the "Blue/Gray Medley" and many others....you know the routine, i'm sure! :d

There's something to be said of those who're proud of their motherland, no matter what. It shows you're upright and you've got a spine! I would not want any Germans to be ashamed of being Germans due to their past, or Brits for enslaving half the world, etc. Patriotism is a virtue, not anything to be frowned upon. I sure am proud of where I am from. hums "Battle Hymn of the Republic"
