  4. compare that to the miserly $35 million spent on the recent royal wedding of the Spanish prince! :P :wink3: India Tycoon Said to Pay $60M for Wedding By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Published: June 24, 2004 Filed at 4:50 p.m. ET PARIS (AP) -- An Indian steel tycoon reportedly paid $60 million for his daughter's wedding -- a six-day bash for 1,500 guests in France's most sumptuous settings, including Versailles. Lakshmi Mittal rented the Tuileries garden in Paris one night and a gallery at Versailles another night to celebrate the marriage of his 23-year-old daughter, Vanisha, to 25-year-old Amit Bhatia, according to Thursday's edition of Paris Match magazine. Louis XIV's lavish chateau apparently was not enough -- Mittal also had a makeshift castle built at a park in Saint-Cloud, outside the capital, Paris Match said. The actual wedding took place Tuesday at another chateau, Vaux-le-Vicomte. The $60 million price tag was about the cost of an Airbus A320 passenger jet. The wedding put on by Mittal, named by Forbes magazine as one of the richest people in the world, cost more than the recent royal wedding in Spain. Paris Match said the wedding of Spain's Crown Prince Felipe to TV anchorwoman Letizia Ortiz cost $35 million.
  5. yep...they had (still have?) these groups and clicques and they just talk among themselves; newcomers don't feel welcome in such an environment, usually. but i found some really nice people there too... Frandly was cool! and i remember Fascia too...she was nice to me as well/.
  6. you pushed him over the edge! :stunned: :/
  7. ouch! hahah...yeah, i guess you had many other folks that talked to you over there. i used to complain a lot about how others didn't talk to me or in fact ingored me. and you once said that they do the same thing to you too! anyways, it's good to see you!
  8. i forgot to mention: yoga and other meditation activities are life-long processes. once you learn them when you're young, you can always get back to doing it quickly whenever you feel you can benefit from it. and plus, many people who do yoga or meditate have trained themselves to a level where they can de-stress themselves well.
  9. Hi Jax!! thanks for the nice reply, and sorry that I've not replied back!! I've not come back on the site for a while, and I seemed to have missed it the last time I was on :/ No, I do not do yoga myself, though I was taught how to do it in my childhood and I did it for a long time. And yes, indeed, yoga does help one with sleep and also in relieving stress. It helps at many levels, so many different afflictions can be healed partly by just doing yoga. It's great that you are able to benefit from it, at least in the physical aspect of things. And it's even more nice that you can put it in some context with Hinduism! If you'd like to ask more questions, or just chat (about other things too! lol), just PM me here and I'll send you my msn or yahoo contact details.
