  2. What if they were referring to this?: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora "Most of the planets in the Solar System, some natural satellites, brown dwarfs, and even comets also host auroras". "Colors and wavelengths of auroral light:Edit Red: At its highest altitudes, excited atomic oxygen emits at 630 nm (red); low concentration of atoms and lower sensitivity of eyes at this wavelength make this color visible only under more intense solar activity. The low number of oxygen atoms and their gradually diminishing concentration is responsible for the faint appearance of the top parts of the "curtains". Scarlet, crimson, and carmine are the most often-seen hues of red for the auroras. Green: At lower altitudes, the more frequent collisions suppress the 630 nm (red) mode: rather the 557.7 nm emission (green) dominates. A fairly high concentration of atomic oxygen and higher eye sensitivity in green make green auroras the most common. The excited molecular nitrogen (atomic nitrogen being rare due to the high stability of the N2 molecule) plays a role here, as it can transfer energy by collision to an oxygen atom, which then radiates it away at the green wavelength. (Red and green can also mix together to produce pink or yellow hues.) The rapid decrease of concentration of atomic oxygen below about 100 km is responsible for the abrupt-looking end of the lower edges of the curtains. Both the 557.7 and 630.0 nm wavelengths correspond to forbidden transitions of atomic oxygen, a slow mechanism responsible for the graduality (0.7 s and 107 s respectively) of flaring and fading. Blue: At yet lower altitudes, atomic oxygen is uncommon, and molecular nitrogen and ionized molecular nitrogen take over in producing visible light emission, radiating at a large number of wavelengths in both red and blue parts of the spectrum, with 428 nm (blue) being dominant. Blue and purple emissions, typically at the lower edges of the "curtains", show up at the highest levels of solar activity.[23] The molecular nitrogen transitions are much faster than the atomic oxygen ones. Ultraviolet: Ultraviolet radiation from auroras (within the optical window but not visible to virtually all[clarification needed]humans) has been observed with the requisite equipment. Ultraviolet auroras have also been seen on Mars,[24] Jupiter and Saturn. Infrared: Infrared radiation, in wavelengths that are within the optical window, is also part of many auroras.[24][25] Yellow and pink are a mix of red and green or blue. Other shades of red, as well as orange, may be seen on rare occasions; yellow-green is moderately common.[clarification needed] As red, green, and blue are the primary colors of additive synthesis of colors, in theory, practically any color might be possible, but the ones mentioned in this article comprise a virtually exhaustive list". "There is a color differential with altitude; at high altitudes oxygen red dominates, then oxygen green and nitrogen blue/purple/red, then finally nitrogen blue/purple/red when collisions prevent oxygen from emitting anything. Green is the most common color. Then comes pink, a mixture of light green and red, followed by pure red, then yellow (a mixture of red and green), and finally, pure blue". "Both Jupiter and Saturn have magnetic fields that are stronger than Earth's (Jupiter's equatorial field strength is 4.3 Gauss, compared to 0.3 Gauss for Earth), and both have extensive radiation belts. Auroras have been observed on both gas planets, most clearly using the Hubble Space Telescope, and the Cassini and Galileo spacecraft, as well as on Uranus and Neptune".
  3. After the first listen: not my favourite Coldplay album. In my opinion, Human Heart and Biutyful are weak, but probably Biutyful could be stuck in my head for a little while, especially the part of the chorus. Human Heart is like a choir and I just don't like it, I find it boring. I just listened to the singles and Coloratura before listening to the full album. The singles are those songs that for sure can be stuck in your head, so that's why they chose them to be on the radio. Coloratura is a masterpiece. I just would save Humankind, Let Somebody Go (good ballad), People Of The Pride and Infinity Sign (this one could be like the electronic sister of Chinese Sleep Chant and DJS have material to make a really good remix of 7-10 minutes) I missed more prominent guitar riffs like the one on Coloratura...
  4. Does anybody knows for which song is the video they filmed in Rubí, Barcelona?
  5. Regarding the producers talk, I'm still hoping someday they will be produced by the great Gregg Alexander.
  6. This is an old message I wrote: Furthermore you also ask for Ghost Stories, and I also said once upon a time that it has Midnight, which is also considered a color in some way: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_blue
  7. So we already have the color song in the album, and it's amazing. Well, in fact we have some colors in it: the purple, yellow, green, red, orange and the blue. What a great track. It sounds and looks like an epic IMAX space odyssey. When you see the video, you think you are entering other dimensions, you think you are travelling through the space and time... It really gives me goosebumps and could make me cry. The last 3 minutes are stunning, with the guitar part.
  8. I was thinking the same. Not a big fan of this. It just looks like almost every teenager in the world spells things on social networks nowadays. So definitely these song titles are not my favourites. Anyways, I prefer to call them by their song names, instead of referring to them as the stylised emojis. Furthermore, we are just getting 9 full songs again. 0k, one of them is 10 minutes long and I love that, but I would have prefered 12 full songs, and not 3 of them just being interludes with a running time of 1 minute. But 0k too, it follows the 42 minutes rule, it's the running time of the full album but I don't mind if it has a longer length. I just hope we get some hidden tracks, b-sides or deluxe / special edition tracks.
  9. The music of the intro on the video reminds me to Angels & Airwaves.
  10. I haven't played it yet, but I know that there's a videogame called Cyberpunk 2077 and there are sex shops in there. It is based on a role-playing game called Cyberpunk 2020. Maybe they took inspiration from there. In fact, the whole aesthetic of the Higher Power video, reminds a lot to that videogame.
  11. Yes, I absolutely count Colour Spectrum because it has all the colours in it. And even if you think about it, you could doubt more of that in Everyday Life, because you wonder: where is the colour song there? 0k, there wasn't a colour song itself, but they were more twisted in that album. The second half of the album is called "Sunset", and "Sunset" is also a colour: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunset_(color) They always think about that.
  12. No one is wondering yet about what could be the song with a colour name, but I would like to start that topic.
  13. Also a little bit like this: Also a little bit like this:
  14. 0k, so it looks like right now everyone is discussing about a collab with BTS. Let's turn you all crazy: what if the hypothetical K-pop collab is not with them, and it is with a feminine band like Blackpink instead? How you like that?
  15. Maybe on a more electronic side, I already mentioned M83, but also: Phoenix, Cut Copy, Tame Impala, The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club, Kasabian, MGMT, Bloc Party, Passion Pit, Empire Of The Sun, Metronomy, Foster The People, Miami Horror, Animal Collective, TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sigur Rós, New Order, Elbow. All these would be interesting too.
  16. - Interpol - Editors - Stereophonics - ASH
  17. Am I the only one here that has an alchemy symbol?
  18. Let's add to the list the following, either the whole band or either just some members of the band: - Florence And The Machine - Arcade Fire - The National - Arctic Monkeys - Death Cab For Cutie - Alice Glass (from Crystal Castles) - A-HA - The Killers
  19. M83 comes to mind and I think they would match very well, and after hearing Higher Power, his music would fit especially well on the new album. Bands such The Flaming Lips, White Lies and Mystery Jets. What a pity The Maccabees brokeup, if not I would also add them too.
  20. Not came to say that the song has an 80s vibe, which we already know it has, just came to say that Chris looks like is high through all the video.
  21. That would be amazing, having in count that I always enjoyed UFO but also thought it was too short and I wanted more. In fact, the final of the song just feels like when you read on the screen "to be continued..." in one episode of your favorite series.
  22. Looks like if they were staring at an UFO about to abduct them.
  23. Looks like if they were staring at an UFO about to abduct them.
  24. There's a 2018 science fiction movie called "Higher Power". I haven't seen it, but this is the plot: "The world is at risk and it's up to one man to save it.A mad scientist has to go through the DNA of the population of earth to find someone to do the job. The needed hero turns out to be a former alcoholic called Joe who has an anger problem and two estranged daughters called Zoe and Rhea.Joe then finds himself in the hands of the mad scientist. The experimental work that the scientist does on Joe equips him with some kind of electromagnetic power that could either save the world or if not, destroy it." It also reminds me to Doctor Manhattan of Watchmen. Can you imagine the album with this theme?
